I grew up with alpine and eclipse radios, but for these newer cars with the fancy radios this thing is the best. While installing takes a bit of work transferring the parts it’s not hard just takes time. The fitment is perfect, the controls easy and to top it off it looks 100% factory. I do with the display was a little brighter but it’s more value for the money than I could ask for in my base model Fusion.

The media could not be loaded. Just installed today, so verdict out on reliability….the installation is more involved than many unit swaps, but armed with precision screwdriver, small phillips (provided in kit) & panel tool (also included) and some patience…you will be able to install. Paired quickly with my phone and the steering wheel controls all function. Need to dial in the EQ for my speakers & taste, definitely has what you need. UPDATE: will not control hvac properly. Heat only. None of the canbus options will allow for manual hvac control. Sent email to seller listed on intructions, no reply. UPDATE: seller has been in contact and has attempted to assist by suggesting debugging port. Have done but still heat only. There is a canbus for manual AC but system does not allow me to select that option. Disappointed because the system looks great, install was easy & radio/carplay functionality is excellent.

I really cannot recommend this head unit. Does it power on? Yes. Does it output audio? Also yes. But that’s about where the positives end. First off, the included instructions are garbage. They don’t even list the correct screws you need to remove — they claim they're Phillips head screws when in reality, they’re tiny hex bolts. So right out of the box, you're dealing with misinformation. I decided to patch in my car’s original backup camera because I wasn’t about to run a new one to the rear. That turned into a whole saga. The feed wouldn’t come through cleanly at all. After a lot of frustration, I figured out you have to put the car in reverse and then press and hold the center of the screen for way longer than anyone would reasonably expect — and only then do you get access to a secret menu where you can change the input resolution. That’s not clever, that’s stupid. Wireless Android Auto is laggy as hell, and the wired connection doesn’t work at all. Then comes the customer service, which is an absolute joke. I contacted them because none of the preamp outputs (sub, mic, etc.) were working from the pigtail. I assumed maybe it was a hidden setting, so I spent days digging through menus, including the factory settings (which I had to crack into myself), and found nothing. ALSO — the factory settings password is 8888. The seller tried to tell me it was 8317, which is just wrong. Getting into the factory settings actually lets you remove a bunch of the bloatware apps this thing comes preloaded with, which helps clean it up a bit — but it doesn’t fix the hardware issues. Had a buddy who runs a stereo shop test it — no voltage, no output. When I emailed support, the rep actually told me to plug it in — as if I hadn’t already done that — and on top of that, gave me the wrong password for the factory settings I already mentioned above. I’ll be returning this. I managed to patch into the door speakers to get around the subwoofer issue, and that worked — but the microphone output still doesn't function, which makes the unit basically unusable for hands-free anything. If you're thinking about buying this unit — don’t. Save yourself the time, the headache, and the support nightmares. And if you’ve already bought it and you’re struggling with setup or the camera config, feel free to shoot me an email at nerdcentral211 [at] gmail [dot] com — I brute-forced a lot of it into working, and I’d rather help someone else avoid the same pain.

The circuit board for the ac controls is not compatible with this radio. My ac is now stuck on heat because you have to take the panel apart and install controls and circuit board from stock unit to this and it WILL NOT fit!

Worked very good, pros are that it’s very responsive, Apple CarPlay worked great, and you have an equalizer for your music. Cons for me was there wasn’t great instructions and the music would skip sometimes but other than that good product!
