Not 30 days into ownership, I found out it was pot hole season in Indiana. Driving to work and WHAM!!!! a pothole the size of Texas. Within seconds my tire pressure was reading zero. While I had a buddy that had a tire/wheel I could use, I had nothing to jack it up and change the tire. The closest Tesla dealer was 100 miles away and while they would tow it there, it seemed like a terrible waste of time. This kit saves the day. It comes with the puck that fits into the lifting points on the Tesla. Place that into the hole, then place the jack right on the puck (just don't forget to grab it out when you are done). My MYP says the lugs should be torqued to 129 lb-ft. A normal ratchet is not getting those lugs off, so this kit includes a pretty cool, extendable breaker bar and 21mm socket that made removing the lugs a breeze. The bar is very sturdy, and angled to prevent damaging the rims. It was super easy to use and the entire kit is light enough to carry all the time. It also comes with a great little carry case to keep it all from sliding around. The gloves are fine to keep your hands clean, but I tossed those on day one and included a my own mechanics gloves. All in all, well worth the money, and nice to have a little peace of mind.

I've now had to use this 2 times, and both times it has worked great. I have a performance model 3 which it too low to use as instructed. You can't insert the plastic part into the car frame, but I still line the jack up and it gets the job done. Also, I originally thought the gloves were silly, but it's a nice touch to keep your hands clean.

Seeing as teslas do not come with spares…..you need a kit to help you stay on the road. I somehow did get a flat while at the grocery store . I used the kit to inspect the tire….another tesla owner gave me a spare plug which i used to plug up the hole…. So you know i had to go buy a plug kit for myself….but it saved me….and the tire is still in use……the jack worked well for this….and its size, it stores well…

Liked size portability Disliked the effort to raise my Tesla With the ratchet to remove tires. Much pressure was required an 40 plus times ratcheting to lift at considerable effort. Note Tesla is heavy! If in emergency then will get you the result. Also I purchased chocks for wheels on opposite side car did move forward even in park this a must!!!! Safety item to purchase with your jack.
