This car battery jump starter is super handy to have around. It has a lot of power and worked with no problem on both my car and a friend's motorcycle. The flashlight is a nice extra feature and the safety clamps feel solid and well made. It is easy to charge and simple to use which is great if you are not super experienced with this kind of stuff. The only thing I do not like is the power button being right on top. It is really easy to accidentally press it when moving or packing it which can drain the battery if you are not careful. Other than that it has been a reliable tool and worth keeping in the car.

I admit, I was VERY skeptical. I have a much more expensive jumper for one car, but wanted one for the other car as well. When this one came - it's very different. A more "economy" version. The housing is a thinner plastic. The entire unit feels less industrial. I charged it fully and left it in the car along with the "better" one. I wanted to try this one, but wanted the other as a backup. So today I get in the car, it won't start due to corroded terminals (on a new battery). I hook up this little dandy and BAM, it started right up with absolutely no hesitation. I've had to use it 3 times now, and it still shows over 50% battery!!! I was very pleasantly surprised by the utility of this little guy, and I would definitely recommend it for a lower-cost option. This one came with a nice semi-hard case, which my more expensive, heavier, more industrial one did not. So that right there is a big plus (to not have to worry about cables flying around in my hatch). But the fact that it worked so well with no hesitancy, I'm very pleased!

The pictures in the advertisement led me to believe that this was physically bigger than the actual size that I got. That’s not a bad thing, just an observation. The verbiage in the ad has the physical size as 2"D x 1"W x 1"H which would have been extremely small. I didn’t notice this until I went back to see if a size was mentioned. The picture with the dimensions has it listed as 1.77” (45mm) D x 3.54” (90mm) W x 7.48” (190mm) H. Neither one is correct. The actual size is 1.7” D x 3.3” W x 6.5” H. My dimensions were taken with a micrometer. I have attached pictures with a ruler showing the physical size. I also noticed that an O-ring was tapped over the power button protecting it. When you press and hold the button down, it turns on the flashlight. Seeing this, I guess that the button could be depressed and drain the battery during certain cases when stored. I removed the O-ring and laid the device on a flat surface with the power button facing the flat surface. I applied a little pressure and sure enough, the light was turned on. The manufacturer knew there is a design flaw that could render the Jump Starter without a charge and thus useless in a time of need. It would have been easy to remedy this design flaw in the design stage. If you purchase this jump starter, you may want to keep that O-ring tapped over the power button so there would be no chance that the flashlight be turned on accidentally. The leads that are supplied are not that long. The negative lead is approximately 9” and the positive lead is 12” in length. See the attached picture. This does not include the plug-in adapter which is approximately 3”. In some cases, these leads may not be long enough to reach the battery and place the jump starter in a safe and secure place when jumping another battery. This is something to check out before purchasing this. The case that it comes with is a fairly nice design and you can use the jump starter as a backup charging device for anything that uses a USB cable to charge. The jump starter also comes with a built-in flashlight which can come in handy. I guess it will jump a dead car battery but I would only use it on smaller gas engines. The ad says that it is good for Up to 8L Gas & 6L Diesel. I have a 6.6L Diesel and this jump starter had no chance in starting it. I’m assuming that the engine size that it can start is exaggerated somewhat.

This jump starter was able to start my older E350 motorhome with a V8 460ci engine, which was impressive. It did struggle a bit at first, but after letting it sit connected for a few minutes, it cranked the engine just fine. The build quality is decent not the best, but solid enough for occasional use. One thing to watch out for is the power button, which is easily triggered, so make sure it’s stored carefully to avoid the lights turning on and draining the battery. The cable length is short, but it still connected fine to every battery I’ve tried. Battery life is enough for one jump, then it needs to be recharged. Overall, it’s a handy and capable tool with a few minor trade offs still a good value for what it offers.
