    • A trickle-charger or charger for new batteries that's fast and small
When I couldn't start my car because it hadn't been driven enough during peak COVID-19 months, I got this small charger to make sure that didn't happen again. It's so small that I'll take it on a trip and it charges at 6 amps, about as fast as you want to avoid aging a car battery. And it's a smart charger: It begins at high current and tapers off as it approaches full charge. Despite its small size, it does not get more than warm when charging, probably because there is a small, quiet fan inside it. I've used it on a battery that was run way down when headlights were left on, and for weeks of trickle charging between drives. Great for both kinds of mishaps. The spring battery connectors at the ends of its charging cables are strong and safe. It has a mode I haven't used, to bring back overdischarged (sulfated??) batteries, and it can charge small lead-acid batteries used in motorcycles and lead-acid backup batteries for electronics.     • Good cheap charger, but has timer
Left out in the rain on accident and it still works. Only issue is it's on some kind of timer and turns itself off even on trickle charge. So you gotta keep checking it and turning it back on.

I had a car sitting for quite a while and didn't feel like jumping it just so the battery would die again next day as I don't drive that car very often. Decided to purchase my first trickle charger and chose this one. I read and followed instructions on what to do with a fully dead battery. Within a few hours it had enough juice to unlock doors with key fob. Decided to just let it run through the night. Next day I check it out and it's off. (Didn't read that part of instructions) try to start my car and boom, no problem. Extremely happy with this product and was happy to find out when battery is fully charged it turns itself off. I truly don't know what this charger did/ or didn't do . I bought it to charge my lawnmower battery then found i needed a starter and mower had to be started manually..which it did by jump starting, the mower ran fine but I don't have a way to jump start everytime I need to mow , but it did start ,so I suppose it helped the battery,just be nice if it would jump start.... have a great day ... show more

Bought this because often when we store one of our cars for the winter the onboard electronics draw the battery down unless we start it every few weeks. This can lead to a frozen battery (we live in Michigan) and that requires that we purchase a new battery. Tried one of those cheap maintenance systems and it failed.     • Great find but then I found out
I ordered these cause I was having battery issues. They shipped fast which was a plus I got them in but ended up not using them right away because I had to get a new battery. Roll around way later and I pull them out to use them well it plugged in and they powered on but that was the end of that it did not recharge nothing and it was way past me being able to return. Waste of money ... show more
