I was out of town for about 7 weeks. Didn't occur to me that my car battery would drain so much. I have a portable battery jumper which helped but it wasn't enough to charge the battery back to its fullest capacity. I kept needing to recharge it every time....I went to auto zone and they offered to charge it for free but it would require you to take the battery out of the car which would be okay but I didn't have the tools or experience on how to do that. Out of curiousity, I decided to search on Amazon to see if a car battery charger would be affordable and when I saw this gadget and for the price, I was a little skeptical. However, it had good reviews, plus free returns, so I took a chance. I figured I had nothing to lose and esp since I had no way of going anywhere since my car was completely unreliable. It took a day to arrive and when it did, I charged it for a good 9 hours. I kept waiting for the "FUL" msg to come on but nothing was showing, which was why I kept charging it for that long. I finally started my car and with this gadget attached, that's when I saw "FUL". That's the only drawback about this item because it was supposed to show "FUL" when it is fully charged but it never did. Anyway, I am just so thankful the battery was charged fully and I have been driving the car again with no issue. I still keep the portable jumper in the car just in case but so far, no problem starting the car since I charged it with this thing. For the price, it worked and has saved my car. The good things about it: 1. it is small but powerful enough 2. easy to use, just clamp the cable clamps (follow instructions cuz you do the neg first then the positive) 3. price is decent, less than $30! What could be better: 1. the "ful' msg should have popped up per the manual but it never did. However, when I started my car and with this attached, I can see it said "ful" then. 2. the electrical cord could be longer but maybe that's why it is compact. Just remember to use an extension cord with it when you plug it in. Overall, for the price, it is a great buy and I would recommend spending the money for that piece of mind (and for your car). So glad I took a chance and bought this!

I have used this product just once. It is easy to use, well designed, functions well, and puts out 6 amps as claimed. Indeed, it works as claimed, as far as I can tell. I have only one complaint: the print on the control panel is so small that I need a magnifying glass to see it. I used the charger on a battery with a bad cell that would only hold 10.4 volts. I wanted to see if the pulse function would make the bad cell work again. It did not repair the bad cell, but a failed attempt at resurrection is not a product defect unless you are Oral Roberts. It is rare for any method to resurrect a dead battery. I used the charger as directed. When I put the leads on reversed, the charger noted that it was reversed by illuminating an LED under a bit of tiny print. Until the leads were interchanged, it remained inert. But, in the end, the bad battery was charged to its full capacity of 10.4 volts, so the charger worked as well as can be expected.
