  • Easy to use and coffee tastes good
I am very happy with the coffee maker .fill the mug with water and pour it in. 4 or 5 tablespoons of coffee and in a couple minutes done. If you want a little more coffee add about 8-10 oz of water and 1 more scoop on the used grinds and run it a second time. I Tamp the grounds and think that that helps ... show more

  • Love this single coffee brewer
I decided to try this single brewer after having spent hundreds of dollars replacing Keurigs. 7 to be exact over about 10-12 years. I swore off single brewers this past spring when I had to throw out yet another Keurig. However, I missed my single brewer so I started looking for other options. I have a Capresso coffeemaker that I love and have had for years. Like 15 or more with no issues, so I decided to see if they had some type of dongle brewer and to my surprise they did. No it does not use “k cups” but I personally look at that as a plus because it uses regular coffee. It does have it’s own filter and it just takes a little experimenting as to how you like your coffee but it comes out nice and hot into the stainless coffee “mug” that comes with it. I’m giving it 5 stars for size (much smaller footprint on the counter), hot coffee, cup provided, and pretty easy to use. Hoping it lasts longer than those Keurigs. ... show more

  • Very happy. Great coffee that is user-friendly to make. Bye-bye Keurig!
I spent hours researching alternatives to the Keurig when ours died, including large drip machines, French presses, manual methods, and personal coffee makers. Based on the reviews and ease of use I bought the Capresso On The Go. The Capresso is a great alternative to the Keurig. We have had many Keurig machines over the last several years and have never been able to get a good cup of coffee. Also, they always break within a year or two. The Capresso makes a great cup of coffee. You can adjust the strength to your personal preference and, if you use a coffee grinder, you can also adjust the coarseness of the grind. At first we thought the coffee tasted odd, until we realized that we were used to creamer flavored bitter water from the Keurig. I had been using the cheapest coffee I could find in the Keurig because even expensive coffees made no difference. When I realized that the coffee made in the Capresso actually tasted like coffee, I bought a grinder and good coffee beans. What a difference! We are looking forward to trying all different kinds of coffee. Even though we are happy with the Capresso, there are a couple of things to be aware of. The water does not fully drain when making a cup of coffee, so if you use the mug to refill the reservoir it will overflow out of the back of the machine and make a mess. We use a measuring cup to put in 11 ounces of water rather than using our coffee mug. Also, as other reviewers have stated, the coffee continues to drip for a minute after it is done brewing. In order to avoid a mess, we either leave our cup for an extra minute or we put an empty cup in its place to catch the drippings. My biggest complaint is the price. The machine is very simple and light weight, made mostly of plastic. In my opinion, the quality does not justify the price. Also, I just saw the same machine at Costco for $15, which is less than half the cost that I paid on Amazon. It would be nice if the quality was better. It would also be great if there was a way to see how much water was in the machine from the outside rather than trying to look inside. Other than these couple of things, we are very happy with the Capresso. ... show more

  • Great Machine
Easy and convenient to use. Coffee is very hot and gets a decent extraction. The included cup isn't the greatest and gets very hot to the touch, so I have stopped using it. Still good enough that I have purchased a second for a backup and travel.

  • Didn't last 3 months
Worst coffee pot I've ever bought. Not even 2 months of using it started messing up. Put water in and it would brew about half way and shut off. Sometimes wouldn't even come on. I would have to unplug several times to get it to come on. In my opinion, waste of money.

  • Capresso machines make the best coffee!!
I have had a full size Capresso machine for the last 22 years and the flavor of the coffee it makes is really so good! I brewed my 1st cup in this coffee to go machine, and it is no different than my full-size coffee pot. I use a little less water because I use half-and-half in my coffee and it was so hot when I put the half-and-half in it made it still very hot. Normally I have to microwave my cup of coffee after I add my cream with the regular coffee pot, but this makes hot coffee the thermos kept it hot the entire 45 minutes. It took me to finish my cup. Whether you do this pot or any other Capresso coffee pot, you can’t go wrong with this brand it makes a spectacular cup of coffee!!!! I actually bought this one for the fifth wheel because my regular size one took up so much room but I still needed an awesome cuppa coffee every morning and evening highly recommend! ... show more
