This coffee is quite good if you're down for some dark roast (I am). On the other hand, the packaging is poop. When opening it, it ripped on 3 out of 4 sides. So I gave 4 out of 5, cause the packaging thing is a PITA.

Horrible Packaging. Having purchased a few times, I can not open the bag without ripping it. Just awful. Always makes a mess. Coffee is nice and a good value, but they need to fix the packaging.

I love Sumatran dark roast. They're a little hard to find and every roast are not the same. I recently bought 2 bags of these Amazon brand, this one is very similar to the one that Great Value used to carry & just like any other items I like they're eventually be discounted. So today I bought 10 more bags, unfortunately that's the limit I can purchase. Recently I bought some from Costco online site, they supposed to be dark roast but they're more like medium dark to me. Costco warehouse also carries different packaging of dark roast Sumatran a little while ago, but by the time I need to get them they were already sold out. Thanks to Amazon I get to enjoy my coffee again, I hope you always carry them. Please.... ... show more

This product passed the freshness and taste test. I felt it was a excellent product for the cost. What I had trouble with was the packaging. When I opened the sealed part at the top of the package it tore and would not separate. In order to salvage the coffee, I had to cut off the top and empty the coffee into a storage container. I don’t know if this was a one-off or not but it certainly didn’t have adequate strength for the purpose. ... show more
