First of all you're going to want a 7' Olympic bar for this. A 6' would have the hooks on the collar. It's pretty stable on carpet and padding after it has had a chance to settle in. There's holes that you can use to secure it to flooring but that's not been necessary. I'm not squatting more than 225 on this right now but I would consider weighing down the base if it started to get shaky as I progress. I'm 6' and the height is comfortable for pull-ups. They also make a special cross brace for pull-up grip variation to replace the straight bar that it comes with but it's a $60 upgrade. An accessory I purchased for storing an additional bar came in handy but please be aware that the accessory holes on this rack are 0.5" so not all accessory hardware is going to work. It comes with one bar holder and one plate holder that connects to the base. Some reviews have people upset about this but it's pretty clear that's what you get. Spotter bars are not included and will be another upgrade soon. The included hooks fall in between the bolts that connect the vertical parts of the rack so that's not an issue with the supplied hardware. I got the CAP dip bar attachment which is not compatible with said bolts so I have to position it lower than I would have liked. Assembly was easy solo with the included hex key and my socket set. Put cardboard down if you're gonna put it together on carpet. With my Olympic weights I also purchased the Yoleo Fitness adjustable bench (spendy because of my height) and the Mikolo lat pull-down machine. This is a good product and not too difficult to assemble. The instruction page lacks text and only provide couple of pictures and diagram. Recommend using your own socket wrench when assemble. I used this exercise mostly as a pull up bar, which is very sturdy. This is also a very good squat rack, and with a flat bench, works well for bench press exercise. Use it for hanging sit ups (185 lb bodyweight+ 40 lb weighted vest) using the inversion boots which probably adds 5-7 more lbs so about 230 lbs total, without issue in my smaller apartment. Use it for pull ups when I don’t go to gym. Also attached pull up rings to do dips. Slight movement in upper half on sit ups, a little creaky, but overall it’s sturdy. 1 hr set up. This is an excellent product. We originally purchased it so my older son could use it for hanging exercises at home instead of going to the gym, and it has held up remarkably well. It has been outdoors for the past three years and still shows almost no signs of wear. We use it even more now after adding a bench for bench presses, and it continues to look and perform like new.
