I started reading the install set up and it only talked about Windows .. . GAD ! did I buy a Windows Only Printer ....... at the same time I was playing a bit with Fedora ...... a Linux version OS . . . . Well, turns out Fedora installs it almost automatically .......... WOW ! What a NICE little cheap printer . . . . I like this printer ......REALLY LIKE this printer . . . easy to set up and install, you do need to do it with a printer cable though , which doesn't come with the new printer , once plugged in Fedora will install it when you go to the printer screen . . .. . .HA , it does color too . . . . Bought this as travel printer. We live in the Phoenix valley often spend a month in the hills to escape the heat. Instead of taking my large printer with me, I opted for this smaller printer. Great price point and it works well enough and it even printed on both sides. Not that I really need it that much but was surprised at that. It sets up pretty well, but connectivity between the new router, my wife's computer and mine tended to be burdensome. It was easily fixed, but I had to reinstall it once. I'm fairly computer savvy, but certainly not a guru. Was able to figure that out. The phone computer app works well enough. I'll see what happens after I'm back home and store it for six months and try and use it again. The replacement cartridges are almost the same price as the printer, a common problem with lower cost printers. I'm usually a Brother printer person and their cartridges are proprietary. I'm not sure if it's the same for Canon. All in all, a decent printer at a great price. ... show more

Great little printer. Fast printing! I love that it doesn’t take 5-minutes of grunting and dry paper free runs before it prints something. SO many printers over the years would do this at random times (and only when you needed to print fast too). You can also leave it turned off when not in use because it boots up and connects to WiFi very fast (25-seconds on the timer). This means it’s recognizable as an available printer on your devices (cell phone, laptop, etc.) quickly. Also, there is a version of this exact same printer that is $50 more. The ONLY difference is that there is an LCD screen. It is NOT worth it. Your device you’re printing from will provide you with all of the data that is provided by that $50 LCD screen that costs $3 to manufacture. I’ve placed a ream of paper on top so you can get a visual gauge of its size. Very compact if you only have a small space for a printer. ... show more

I don't do a lot of printing but when I have to my old Epson was great but not wireless. What a pain! So I bought this Canon and I love it. No more moving the computer so I can plug it into the printer. Worked great right out of the box. Setup was easy. Came with ink. Printing is good. But what I really love is the scanner. Had many HP Printers in the past and my old one died. Replaced it with another $100 HP Printer and spent hours to install. Came with no instructions or information, just log into the HP Web Site and download drivers etc. Had to return to Amazon because after 2 days could not get it to scan but did solve the printing issue. Decided on the Cannon TS4320 for $40 less with the same functionality. Printer came with detailed information on Cannon website for the Cannon TS4320. It was a very intuitive step by step info on how to install. Took less than 15 minutes. This is an inexpensive printer and scanner. I'm using it with my Windows 11 laptop. It works but it is slow. Slow to print, slow to scan, and even the computer app is slow to open. Installation using the QR code was easy but slow. But this is to be expected for a cheap printer. The reason why I took off a star is the missing driver for scanning. It is common to download drivers for electronics like printers, but there was an installation step that took several minutes while downloading the drivers, so it made me believe that I had the current drivers. I test printed and it printed ok. But when I tried to scan, it just gave me a communication error message. I couldn't scan. So I went on Google Gemini and asked it for help. Gemini got me to do a hard reboot, take down my firewall, and investigate my wifi connection. Nothing worked. Then it told me to use a IJ Network Scanner tool. It didn't know what it was talking about, so I told it that I just had the app that came with the installation. Gemini said that the Canon PRINT app is just the bare bones and that I had to download a driver at the Canon website. I found the driver at the Canon website, and that solved the problem. Now I can scan at 300 dpi. When I try to scan at 600 dpi, I get the communication error again. But oh well, I'll just live with 300 dpi. After all, it is just a cheap printer. ... show more
