  • Amazing!
Color: White Size: 17.7 (W) X 12.0 (D) X 6.0 (H)
This printer is so easy to use and refill. It was recommended to me and I'm recommending it to everyone else ha-ha. I needed something for a small space but something that could also handle a work from home flow. It is literally perfect! The ink cartridges are easy to replace and the ink lasts. As soon as pages are finished printing the ink is dry and if you are doing double sided, the printer actually pauses to let the side dry before flipping. I have it plugged directly into my PC, and it is amazing. The second I turn it on it is ready to be used. I have the white one and it looks great with how I have everything set up as well. ... show more

  • I am very happy with this printer
Color: White Size: 17.7 (W) X 12.0 (D) X 6.0 (H)
I bought the Canon MG3620 printer because it's inexpensive and has the features I need. Consumer Reports calls this model a Best Buy, with a rating of "excellent" for both convenience and scan quality and an overall rating of "very good." In my home office I have the printer connected by a USB cable to my desktop computer, so I've avoided problems with Wi-Fi described by some reviewers. The printer is compact enough to fit in the space available on the desk. The white color is attractive. So far, everything is working just as it should - no problems at all. I am very happy with this printer. Many reviewers on Amazon give the printer only one star. This worried me until I realized that there are similar one-star reviews for comparable printers of all other makes, not just Canon. Just look and you'll see. On the New York Times thewirecutter.com website, the page about all-in-one printers states "All printers are disappointing, particularly color all-in-ones . . . No printer is free of rough edges, whether they come in the form of paper jams, software glitches, clogged printheads, or flaky Wi-Fi." One of the complaints I've seen is that paper sheets slide off the top tray after going through the printer. I don't think this is a problem if the directions are followed: pull out the extension on the top tray; on the bottom tray that holds the unprinted paper, swivel out the extension and lift up the flap at the end of this extension. As for complaints about the high cost of ink cartridges, this is how Canon (as well as other manufacturers) makes up for the low cost of the printer. I have no problem with this. If, in time, my printer fails I'll just replace it with another - at $44 it's a steal! ... show more

  • User-Unfriendly Printer / Paper Jams Galore (Update/Rating Downgrade)
Color: White Size: 17.7 (W) X 12.0 (D) X 6.0 (H)
I purchased this printer in a pinch when my Canon Pixma MG7120 jammed and I needed a to print several packing slips by the end of the week. Yes, I own(ed) a Canon Pixma before this and often swore I would not buy another Canon printer again due to the outrageous cost of the 6 ink cartridges which was more than the printer itself. However, being a fan of Canon cameras, after seeing looking at several more expensive printers that didn't have automatic duplex printing, and checking that replacement cartridges for this printer wouldn't be as costly as my previous printer, I decided to give the MG3620 a chance. I am not an IT professional, but I know my way around computers and peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, modems, routers, servers, etc.) and I found the setup process of this printer to be rather user-unfriendly. Perhaps I was just spoiled by my Pixma MG7120 which had more features like a touchscreen, but the network setup for this printer is a downright hassle and unexpectedly complicated for this date and age. Setting up the scan utility ended up taking me over half an hour, though this could've been due to my computer already having a Canon Network Scanner Utility configured for my old Pixma. My main gripe for this printer today is that after just 3 uses, it refused to pick up paper from the paper tray even though it was still half full. My old Pixma used to do this, too, but only when there were only a few sheets left. I adjusted the stack of paper and next thing I knew, half the stack of paper was being sucked in all at once. Due to time constraints, I was not able to print the documents I needed and had to make do by ironing some old, wrinkled printouts for tonight. I am leaning strongly toward returning this thing as what I have experienced from this printer so far does not bode well for a long, happy relationship. ----- Update 11/15/2018 Rating changed from 2 stars to 1 A couple of days before the return window closed, I managed to get this printer working and picking up paper. Well, as soon as the return window closed, it started acting up again - either not picking up paper on its own or crumpling every single sheet (and creating a jam) that it does pick up. I did a roller cleaning, that fixed the jamming issue for about 2 uses. Half the time, I have to feed the paper in myself, and it just started crumpling up the paper again so I have to open the back to remove the jammed paper again, which is annoying because the back won't open if the printer is sitting on a surface; you have to pick it up off the surface and hold it up in order to open the back cover and remove the paper. Yes, it's a cheap printer, and you probably won't find another one at this price that prints acceptable quality documents (haven't tried printing photos yet but photo paper jams would be a nightmare - imagine a 4x6 photo paper lost inside the mechanism) but at the very least it should be able to pick up paper on its own and get it through without jamming half the time. ... show more
