  • Great value. EASy install. PICTURES WILL HELP CONFIRM FITMENT.
Style: Ventline (Pre '08 Models)/Elixir ('94 &a... Color: Smoke
Great replacement cover. I liked the smoke better than the original opaque. Even though it looks dark, it lets some light in. Some here say the plastic is thin. Yes, it is thinner than our OEM cover. But it appears to be sufficient to last a long time. The hinge is simple, bendable metal. Removal is done by bending the curved piece at the end of the hinge and sliding the cover towards the opposite side. Install is the same idea; When you have it in place, you simply bend the little end piece into a small curly-cue and that keeps the hinge from sliding out either way. CONFIRM FITMENT. The description of the vent lid could have had more specifications. Many here ask about sizing. The manufacturer refers to this cover as a 14x14 size. That alone won't give you much confidence that you have the right cover. I have included pics to help you confirm this will work on your unit. I also installed a new vinyl seal. Ventline #BVD0455-01, 51" length. Overall, I was very satisfied with the new cover and it's a terrific value. Saved plenty of money and time over taking it to the RV dealer. ... show more

  • Smoke is not clear...translucent. Replaces the crappy white ones. Look sharp.
Style: Ventline (Pre '08 Models)/Elixir ('94 &a... Color: Smoke
The slot hinge is a perfect loose replacement fit. I can pinch it down at the ends to keep from rattling when open. This same Smoke vent cover is the same design as the white ones which were replaced...which the white only hold up for maybe 2 years and once they start cracking it only a matter of time and wind that they break off entirely. And I havn't been on the road in a year. Just sitting there. Power screwdriver is a plus. Replacement takes a few minutes to look and study first .... Start from the inside. Remove the screen (two screws) , crank and remove the lifter mechanism, be mindful not to lose the flat metal clip. Go topside and remove the offending cover and simply slide in the replacement. Proceeding backwards, put the lifting mechanism back in the slot of the vent cover, remember the flat clip which adds stability. Go back inside to center the project. Pin it all back together and you're done. Note...You do not need to remove the entire vent metal jack...but, now is a perfect time to water proof any cracks or potential cracks with rubberized paint. I've never tried using the smoke vent cover, so I don't know how it holds up in the heat and sunlight. I am quite disappointed with how quick the sun ate the white ones...but then I didn't pay for the best either. I didn't pay a lot here also...just not white again. ... show more

  • For those with 5 tabs where the vent hinges vs a long tube
Style: Jensen (Metal Base '94 & Up Models) Color: White
I have been looking all over for a replacement bathroom vent cover for our camper. Our old one broke. We have 5 separate tabs on our camper where this one was suppose to connect to and our opening was exactly 12". This one fit PERFECTLY-! you have to remove the housing from the inside including the screen in order to get the raise mechanism to connect/ work. It took under 10 minutes from start to finish with a hand held Philip's screwdriver as a 1 person job. ....again if on the roof of your camper you have 5 tabs long , short , long , short , long where the old vent hooked into then this is the right one for you. If you have a long straight C shaped metal tube where your vent raises and lowers your looking at the wrong one. ... show more

  • Came fast! Easy to install.
Style: Ventline (Pre '08 Models)/Elixir ('94 &a... Color: Smoke
I could not believe it when the first original roof vent lid on my 2017 RV shattered in the wind! (Forest River cuts so many corners!) After research I ordered this replacement and after seeing how easy it was on YouTube removing the old lid and installing the new, I did mine in a jiffy. It was so easy, after inspecting the other two lids I bought two more and replaced those as well. And I had even installed MaxAir II covers in all three positions (cab, bed, bathroom) three years ago. All I can say is that the original white plastic lid could not stand up to UV and/or heat, but as this is in PNW, not such temp extremes as elsewhere. Anyhow, don't hesitate in replacing your lids if your RV is about 5 yrs old, so you don't have it go to shreds during a trip with family, or God forbid, in a storm if you don't have a cover over it. We shall see how long it holds up. It claims to be UV resistant. We shall see. At least it is made in USA, so maybe it will. ... show more

  • OK 2nd times a charm, first cover did not ...
Style: Jensen (Metal Base '94 & Up Models) Color: White
OK 2nd times a charm, first cover did not fit even after a Dremel remod - reversing the slide bracket position = fail. . Called Winnebago got their part # for our 2016 Aspect (064 470-01-70), unit on Amazon was 24.??plus 12.00 S&H same as factory direct. While reading the Q&A on that part I was directed to this Camco unit at 1/3 the price. Install was simplified by: #1 Putting the crank arm fully in up position, #2 removing the 2 screws on the slide bracket attaching the bracket to the arm, #3 mounting the cover to the hinges, #4 remounting the bracket to the cover #5 install the 1" square "U" spring slide pin lock- Done. NOTE: this does not come with the "U" Slide Pin Lock, hopefully you have yours. Note to Camco - "why not tape an extra to the cover and add $0.50?! ... show more

  • Easy Fix
Style: Ventline (Pre '08 Models)/Elixir ('94 &a... Color: Smoke
When I went on my RV roof to clean the white vent cover that is just over a year old I busted right through it due to sun damage. I freaked and though I would have to replace the whole vent. Thankfully after a few online tutorials I found I could easy swap it out for a new one. This was the best value for money I felt like, So I put a tarp over my vent and waited for 2 day shipping. Item arrived as described and was relatively easy to install. Had to disassemble the vent lever mechanism, disconnect from my old vent cover and it slid right out of the hinge channel it was in. This new one from Camco slid right in and everything reconnected with ease. I can't speak for long term use yet, but it appears better made than the original, and being able to see through it with the smoke tint is a nice touch. Also, I added bearing grease the the hinge channel and lifter arm while I was in there. Makes for smoother operation. ... show more
