Good News First... I would have given this product a five start rating if we had received it all put together. For the money I think the product is well built - looks great - and my husband and I LOVE the fireplace. We are retired and have downgraded our living space to a small two bedroom apartment after living in a 3000+ square foot home with a real gas fireplace. We used the fireplace almost year round because we just loved it that much. When I found this "TV Stand" it was the perfect color and the fireplace - although faux - we thought would help us feel more like home... And it has! We love it. The fireplace has many settings but we found the faux fire color we love along with the perfect color for the "embers" and we leave it on that setting. The heater works great! You can choose from no heat to low to high. It warms up our small living room great. BAD News.. 1. The instructions we just plain awful. 2. One of the pre made pieces was not cut/put together properly. So much so, we stopped to call Amazon to send us another piece. With this unit - Amazon told us - it was all or nothing. Send the whole unit back (uhhh NO!) or keep it. We finally talked to a Customer Service person that was great (first person not so much). She offered us a discount of 15%.. or send it back. We took the 15% 3. Now we have a discount with a unit that won't go together correctly. Luckily our son, mechanical engineer, who was putting it together for us, figured out a fix (which required a buzz saw!). Once the piece was cut to fit - it all went together just fine. So in summary - YIKES! If our son could not have figured out way to make this work - we would have had to send the unit back. If I could give the instructions and the trouble it caused us a LESS than a 1* rating I would have. p.s. Pics give you an idea what it looks like finished...Please don't just judge the surroundings - we were moving in:) So in Summary - I gave this an average rating of 3*. 5* for the finished product - 1* for the assembly. ... show more

Assembly took a little time but was able to complete the assembly unassisted. Nice looking product. The remote is not great.

The fireplace is actually better than I even imagined. I live in Florida - and it's almost 100 degrees - but I can't wait until the weather is cold (about 3 days a year) to use the heater... the lights are hypnotic and really pretty - and the cabinet is really nicely made and wasn't too hard to put together. I did have an issue - the remote for the fireplace was missing. The info on amazon links to the wrong place - one number is for Honeywell - the other is for Frigidere - neither of which works for support. Amazon support was very nice - but didn't resolve the issue. There is an insert that came with the Fireplace - for warranty - through Cambridge - the manufacturer. You'll need your order number - but they were really helpful - and were able to quickly resolve the problem. 855.727.4659 is the number to reach them. ... show more

The fireplace insert part of the unit is very nice. Lots of color choices for both the crystals and the flames. The TV stand part of the unit, however was less than we expected. Typical of “build it yourself” furniture, some holes weren’t drilled in the right place and we had to substitute bigger screws when the ones supplied didn’t hold. The color was a pleasant gray blue as described which is what we were hoping. Would have expected better tv stand quality for $620 +. ... show more

    • Difficult to build! Made of pressboard!

The instructions are pictures only and are difficult to understand. The materials are pressboard and are easily broken when trying to fit into each other. This project requires two people. Not a good value for the money! The flames are beautiful and enticing but not realistic. The heat that is emitted is amazing. ... show more

Not bad to assemble. This piece is really good looking, especially with the glass stones. Really happy with it. Only drawback is I wish it pumped out a bit more heat. Overall I'd buy again though.
