I ordered this over a year ago to add some warmth to the living room of my apartment. A year later, no regrets...even after a dog chewed up the remote, so now I have to use the control panel to switch it on and off. It really does create a cozy vibe in the apartment that the beige walls and manufactured floors were severely lacking. There are three heat levels: no heat (and no fan), level one, and level two. Neither heat levels are particularly warm, but left on for an hour or so, really does create an ambient warmth in the entire room without any other heat source. There is a blowing fan noise when the heat is running, but it's pretty low volume and non-disruptive and a good reminder that the heat is on and needs to be shut off before leaving the house. The flame is obviously fake, but still tasteful. I run it at night even during the summer sometimes, as the warm glow is comforting. The mantel is sturdy and instructions easy to follow. I think it took me 30 minutes total to assemble. Recently, I accidentally got the fan implement slightly wet while deep cleaning the couch cushions, and the heat element stopped working. I thought I was doomed, but after letting the unit dry out overnight, the heat is functioning again. Must be a safeguard build into it to shut off when wet. So glad i don't have to repair or replace. Overall, great quality and lots of compliments from guests who just assumed the unit was built in with the apartment. ... show more

This was the easiest assembly I've ever done. Everything was clearly marked and the instructions were very clear. Construction is solid, all hardware was included. Instead of using the allen wrench to twist by hand, we cut off the L shape of the wrench and inserted it in the drill as a bit which made the whole assembly go much faster and secured the screws much tighter. The unit is absolutely gorgeous and cozy. There is a hi and lo setting for flame height and a hi and low heat setting. It puts out substantial heat. I’m very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Can’t speak to the longevity of this just yet. I will come back in a few months with an “edit”. So far, no complaints. Shipment arrived faster than expected and not in two packages as some others have mentioned. It all came together so I was happy! Easy to put together. It’s under $300 so don’t expect extreme high quality, the unit is held together by brackets so you shouldn’t move it around too much. With that said, I am happy with the quality for under $300!! The media could not be loaded. Overall I really like this fireplace TV stand. The look of fireplace and the style of the furniture is really nice compared to some other options and the price was good as well. I did have some delivery issues which the seller addressed immediately. It ships in 2 parts, the fireplace box and the furniture part separately. The furniture part comes in a very large heavy box (pictured) and the original delivery appeared to have been dropped so there was a little damage to some of the parts. The seller sent a replacement right away, but unfortunately one of the same parts also got broken in transit. (Also pictured). I drilled out where the wooden dowels had split and replaced them along with some more dowels and wood glue along the whole seam and that seemed to work fine. I put this together myself which took a few hours, and was a little tricky trying to lift something so heavy and line it all up so I suggest getting a 2nd person for the lifting. I also put felt adhesive pads along the base so I could slide it more easily which I highly recommend. Home Depot sells a roll of felt that is the exact width of the base boards. There's a little space behind the firebox where you can gather your cords together or store something if needed. I was able to fit 4 Ikea media boxes in the shelves which fit perfectly. The fireplace itself is a nice mix of the traditional logs and flames with a little modern touch using the acrylic crystals. The front of the glass opens easily to replace or customize the look of those. It has several flame colors and even more colors for the base. The flame motion has 5 speeds, and there are 2 modes for heat. The heater is very quiet and gets hot, but to keep it quiet the fan doesn't blow very hard so the hot air goes more up than out. I put a small USB fan behind the TV if I want it to reach farther or circulate the heat more. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because if you aren't up for drilling and glueing a piece, the shipping may frustrate you. Hopefully the seller can fix that. For the price and final look, the minor issues were worth it to me. Hope this review helps! ... show more
