PROS: - built in heater and fan -comes with mantel and the fire screen/heater -280$ total??? Cheapest one available -it’s tall it’s about 58 inches at tallest part - it is also wide about 65 inches. If you have a blank wall that needs decor this will take up a lot of space I feel like it was honestly cheaper to buy this then trying fill in the wall with decor. -storage. We just finished building, so my items are not put on the shelves yet however it has good storage for books, crystals, collectibles, even a small basket of toys for my dog. The shelves are SUCH a bonus for me. I’m always buying shelves because they make a great display. So if you’re a collector/ decor enthusiast, just get it. - very thorough instructions - realistic looking fire/wood it almost looks 3D in person, super cool feature - dimmable light - you can have the heater OFF while enjoying the view. I’ve always loved the view of a fire but where I’m from the weather is warm so we don’t get to utilize our actual fire place enough because it gets too hot. - 4 light adjusting features - remote control operated - free shipping, quick delivery -it’s seemingly great quality so far especially for the price -the black wood is beautiful and around the fire it almost has a grey stone maybe faux granite(?) sort of appearance. It’s super pretty and elegant and matches our room beautifully CONS: - I’m recovering from surgery so my fiancé built this by himself. It took 10 hours total (2 separate days). He isn’t a carpenter or anything at all but he knows the basics, he is also not a person who heavy lifts anything and was able to put it together perfectly. That being said it’s NOT hard to put together nor super heavy, but TIME CONSUMING AF. It is meant to be a 2 person job but he was able to find his way around that but it did take a bit more time because a screw broke which brings me to my second point - a screw broke, we were able to fix it so we don’t need to contact customer service quite yet but it was a bad screw. We hadn’t even screwed it in, it just broke in my fiancés hand when he took it out of the bag - there are small flaws like gaps in between shelves, fire pit and mantel etc, however if you have putty and paint that isn’t really a problem - remote can be finicky. It has to be directed exactly at the screen. Not a big deal either. - some sizing issues. Things don’t fit together perfectly but you’re able to work with it Overall for 280$ free, fast shipping, for a very large expensive looking mantel and fire place? It’s a steal. Yes it takes effort and focus to put together. But for the results it’s worth it. Even my fiancé said it is worth putting together he says it’s “luxurious” haha. Worth the money from me (and the time from him). Just have patience with it, and take it step by step. Do every single instruction this isn’t something you can glance over. By far one of my favorite Amazon finds and I’d recommend to anyone looking for a fire place. I am using this piece in our master bed but If the living room didn’t have a fire place I’d definitely buy one out there. It looks real and expensive. The little quirks here and there are honestly no big deal due to the price. If this was any more expensive I’d knock a star off but how can I not give it 5 stars?! Shipped quickly and came packaged very well. Started "building" at noon, finished just after 7 pm. --- Things that will help you: 1. enough room to lay it out 2. real wood glue, 3. time * I have put together many Ikea products (that is a Billy bookcase in the background), gutted kitchens, bathrooms ect. and this WAS a project. It is okay for 1 person until the end when attaching the end bookcases, I had a couple mishaps during that portion, one included the end bookcase shifting forward and causing damage (shown in last photo) another was not putting the last back piece on correctly which made that one come out askew---re-adjusted it easily the next day. The finish is a thin matt white and came with a couple spots already worn. The top is slightly warped and swoops up a little on each end ( I may glue it and clamp at a later date). This works nicely in my room with the color-changing strip lighting subtly reflecting color. I paid under $400 and may not have made the choice for this one at close to $600 but it would have still been worth it. This could be easily plussed up by making the fireplace surround with stone (instead of the grey pressboard), caulking the edges and painting it or adding pass throughs for your electronics----still love it! I like that the flames can display without heat and can be adjusted, the remote is handy for that. I can't vouch for heat output because I live in California but so far it has kept me cozy. This makes a plain room much nicer. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Assembly was ok, it's just particle board, tiny dowel rods, screw shafts and 1/4turn lock nuts to assemble. All the tools you need are a screwdriver, Allen key, and wood glue. All that is provided except the screwdriver. Packaging is par for course. Not the worst but not great. Two pieces were damaged in the box, but not noticable after assembled. As others stated, the alignment is not 100%, but it's not horrible either. You could caulk the spots that are misaligned. All the holes lined up so that was great, however- the part marked "O" was NOT drilled out in 4 spots to put dowels and screw rods in. It didn't ultimately matter to me as it was part of the base and not visible, and it was able to have the dowels in the sides. I just glued the rest with wood glue. I did t buy this for the heat function, just the ambiance of the "flames" I'm glad the motor is quiet. The flames have about 4 settings of intensity, but just one pattern of flame. It's not the greatest one out there, but it is nice to see out of the corner of your eye as your watching TV or reading a book. The only thing this fireplace is missing is the crackling. But that really it. It is a beautiful piece and just the right size for our space. I would purchase again. Merry Christmas! ... show more
