  • Saves a Lot of Ammo
Outstanding for sighting in red dot optical or gun sights. Don't listen to the whiners regarding build quality. People just like to whine and complain; I wonder if it was how they were raised?

  • Bought for using with LCP Max - works well with slight modification
As you'll see by my hands in the picture, I have a very weak frame. The reason I bought the LCP Max is so that I can carry it in my pocket everywhere I go. But as anyone who's shot it knows, it's got a very noticeable kick, especially if your biceps look like mine. I found that the way that works the best for me is as follows: 1. Place a 10 lbs dumbbell at the center of the gun rest, instead of the rear movable surface. This makes it so that when you fire the LCP, the Pistolero stays fixed in place. 2. Lean your shooting hand on the dumbbell, and lean your support hand on the table. You need to make sure you have enough space to hold the gun, and with such a small frame, that means that you need to raise the front shooting surface a little bit. I tried shooting with one hand, I got much less impressive results. 3. I tried resting the edge of the barrel on the front surface, and then tried leaning the trigger guard on the front surface, I felt I had better results with resting the trigger guard. 4. I also leaned my rear side against the wall to stabilize my body better both during aiming and during firing. The first two images show the position of the LCP, the dumbbell, my hands. The third image shows one of my better groups (it took me a while to figure out how to use the Pistolero correctly with this gun, so most of my groups are a lot less tight) The fourth image shows the laser dot from the Mantis Laser Academy .380 ACP pink rhino. With all of these pointers I indicated, dry firing always puts me on the center of target. A word about the target used: it's 3.5 yards away from me, and I am cheap so I keep placing tape over previous round holes to save on having to buy more targets. ... show more

  • Sized Right & Stable
Great asset for zeroing handguns. Lite construction making it easy to move & store. Zeroed my buddy’s Taurus .44 Raging Hunter & 10mm Smith & Wesson handguns securely w/out issues. It’s a keeper piece of gear.

  • Worked well, but not great and just too long
I spent some time with this today and it worked well, but I think I’m going to need to return it. At my range, it just doesn’t fit on the area that I need to stay still on so you can see movement from the shots. I used my buddies Sandbags and it actually fit where I needed it to fit and I had a better outcome. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with this product, but the size does make it an issue for me. I was able to loosen the screw on the left and slowly adjusted by turning the dial up and down until I had it exactly where I wanted it and then screwed the screw on the left very tight so it wouldn’t move. I made a few mistakes at first where I forgot to screw that in and I had some flyers both right and left until I figured out adding that final step of tightening it up one last time. It is worth noting that the base in the back easily slides forward and backwards, which was kind of nice but again it was so long that it hung over both the front and the back. I think I’m just gonna have to get something different with a different design that’s going to help me work on dialing in my sites at different depth of field. ... show more

  • Wonderful inexpensive fantastic gun rest.
I am not an incredible marksman. I just purchased a 2021 HK VP9 9mm match and a new Trijicon SRO 3. I wanted to zero in the SRO red dot so I purchased the gun rest after looking at some YouTube on the Pistolero. The first few targets I threw away, this is the 4th target and it is ‘almost perfect’ and my wife was so surprised at 15 yards she was able to get a bullseye. With the Pistolero it was easy, fun and you can see the results. This gun rest is simple to put together, easy to adjust on the range, it did not get close to breaking and I did not have to make it more sturdy. Moreover, my wife and I had fun and she learned to improve her shots. In fact, we both think it is a better teaching aid than dummy rounds or lessons. My wife learned to control the 9 mm faster, worked on her trigger control better and she wants to practice with the PISTOLERO gun rest in the future. This is so reasonable everyone learning should buy one or anyone wanting to have a perfect red zero. We were both glad about the purchase and my wife is looking forward to practicing with it in the future. Absolutely a great simple and inexpensive purchase. We both strongly recommend the Pistolero and what a great name, my wife has come up with new nicknames for me! Get this inexpensive reasonable adjustable gun rest. This is 5*****. ... show more
