I bought this to put over a mattress topper and was concerned because my mattress, while not a pillow top, is very thick. The added 5 inch down topper made me question my purchase. When I opened it I found it to be soft, yet thick. It doesn't make noise as many water proof ones do. The sides and ends of the cover are stretchy and easy to pull over both the topper and the mattress. I love it, and highly recommend!

My last mattress cover got thrashed after a decade of use plus it had all kinds of discoloration on it so it was time to buy a new one. It arrived yesterday and today I got the new one and was able to fit in on my 18” mattress just fine. It looks good and will protect my mattress from any type of stains, particularly sweat stains during the hot summer months. It was reasonably priced and I expect it to last as long as my last one.

This mattress protector is mostly as described. It is the right size, keeps the mattress topper from shifting, is noiseless, has held up after multiple washes and cycles in the drier, and it’s well made for the price. I was a bit disappointed by how thin it is (pictures made it look like there was more batting) and it traps heat, causing the bed to get a bit too warm. Since I don't really need a waterproof mattress cover, I wouldn't buy again, but it's good value if you need waterproof and don't mind a warm bed.

Our mattress itself is quite thick and fairly new. I've had three different mattress pads and none of them stayed in place. I saw the additional stitching as well as the plastic/vinyl type backing and decided to give it a try. It seems to give some stability to the bottom fitted sheet and does not move every time one of us moves. It pretty much stays put on the mattress. The only thing I didn't care for was that when I washed it after the rinse/spin cycle the plastic side was down and seemed to trap the water and didn't spin it out. I simply turned it over, arranged it in the washer again and did a final spin that finally left it just slightly damp as opposed to soaking wet. I think I just have to be careful about how I arrange it in the washer when I wash it. Overall it seems to work well. It's not crinkly which was also a worry. We didn't need a really fluffy padded mattress topper. Just something functional. This was it!
