I recently got into making videos about unboxing/setups and the tripod/ring light setup that I had was just not flexible enough for me. I read about these kinds of arms, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It worked out amazingly. It's super flexible for bending in different angles for close-ups, far shots, and overhead shot (say you want to record yourself using/working on something with your hands). I selected this camera stand because I'm trying to level-up my social media presence; so, I need to get accessories to improve my production quality. After trying out this camera stand, I am thoroughly satisfied with its performance so far. Trying to take photos and video with a cellphone, while keeping my hand steady as been my biggest hurdle. However, this camera stand has been my go-to device in certain scenarios. The camera stand is good for over-the-shoulder media capture. I use it at my art table and while I am doing wood working etc. In all other instances, I still use a tripod though. The assembly just requires some intuitive thought; join a few pieces together and then it is user friendly. There is a bit of a learning curve to make adjustments for the right shot. The good news is that after playing with it for a few minutes; you'll get a natural flow of how it goes. However, it really comes down to your own personal standards or desired creative outcome. I leave the little miniature chair that it comes with on my desk as a workspace decoration (even when I am not using the camera stand) LOL!. It also has a rubber component on the table clamp; which protects your mounting surface. **Tip: If using a phone, make sure you hold it while making adjustments! The clip that holds it is spring loaded and one knock in the wrong direction can unload it. The main thing for me is that it keeps my phone stable and my hands free, which allows me to concentrate on what I 'm doing, and not on what the camera is doing! All-in-all, I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone that needs a stable solution when trying to capture media on a desktop or any other surfaces! Sigh..... The ask is too much for what you get. Lets start from the bottom up. Not every desk has square edges, so it would be beneficial and add versatility to have a deeper throat for the clamp. The rubber protector on the clamp fell off immediately upon trying to tighten it down. (to another square table i have) The extension tube is ok, and will be secure when you tighten it down fully (threads are very sloppy) The adapter section for the flex arm secures itself very nicely with the threaded nipple you use to attach them together. Ugh that adapter though is cr** why couldn't they make the arm thread into the extension pole rather than the very poorly done design they used, with friction fit. The arm though works as intended, feels very secure if everything is tightened properly. That moves me on to the joints, rather than use a one sided tightening method, both sides have thumb screws that need to tightened. The included swivel head is cheap plastic, yet so far seems to do its job well, and stays tight and stays where you put it. I think the price is high for the quality of the arm, with that poorly thought out way to attach it to the extension pole. I cant recommend at this price. ... show more

I’ve only had this for a couple weeks but it’s been really great so far. I did a TON of researching to find a phone stand that would work for filming videos of me making my wire wrapped jewelry and for doing live streams on social media. This is the one that I decided on and I’m pretty happy with my choice. The best part is that it’s an overhead stand, so when I am working on my wire wrapping, my arms or hands don’t bump into it. It doesn’t shake or wobble much at all as long as the knob is tightened where it attaches to the table clamp. This comes with an extra attachment pole that makes it about 14 inches taller but I don’t need that much height. It can be use with or without the taller extension pole. The only complaint I have is that in order to turn/swivel the stand, you have to loosen the knob where the stand attaches to the table clamp and then re tighten it when you get it turned to the position you want it. A little inconvenient, but much less of a hassle than some other stands I’ve used. It also comes with 4 little clips that you just snap on along the stand to tuck your charging cord into so it doesn’t hang down. I’ll see how this stand holds up over the next few months and I’ll post an update if there’s anything worth noting. ... show more
