Over the years, hundreds of incandescent C7s and C9s drove up our California electricity bill which is umpteen times higher than other states. Our Christmas tree was baking under the heat of 125 C7s. Even so, I was very reluctant to switch to LEDs because the ones I saw had blues that looked purple and the lights were all dim. My husband researched and found these lights and we are now on Wintergreen LEDs—sorry, PG&E! I am fooled by how realistic they are to incandescent bulbs! The lights are bright and true to their colors! BLUE IS BLUE! Red is a crisp red, not orangey. Orange is vibrant. Green has a nice bright glow, unlike other dull Christmas lights. Wintergreen’s Amazon store has a lot of replacement bulbs packs that feature colors like gold which were difficult to find as an incandescent bulb, plus twinkle lights in every color!!! Wintergreen also has pink and purple for those that decorate their homes for Valentine’s Day (if that’s your thing). Quality is top-notch! Our neighbor left our basement door open because she wanted a place for a feral cat to sleep. Pfft. All of the outdoor Christmas stuff showed evidence of dewy mornings. The C9s looked great—void of any rust or electrical issues! My kids could be better at handling the lights. They yank, drag and drop them on the floor and driveway. My 7YO girl stepped on a bulb. It did not break and the socket was undamaged. I can only imagine how much more she would have cried if anything broke. This is our second year with the lights and they are doing very well. The lights are up the day after Thanksgiving to the weekend after New Year’s. The C9s run for eight hours a night. The C7s are on from dawn until after midnight (my husband and I have different sleep schedules). We have only had to replace a single C9 out of hundreds of bulbs. To create light strands with a mix of opaque, solid and twinkle lights, we bought a variety of light strands (multi solid, multi opaque, multi twinkle), a couple light strands sans bulbs and a few replacement bulb boxes. Now that we have reliable C9 LEDs that can be seen from a distance we are going to put a Christmas tree of lights on the back of the house—three stories tall!

We love these gorgeous commercial-quality lights! We got the multi-colored ones as well as all the other single colors. They have been up for a week now, and have survived six inches of heavy wet snow. Expensive but worth it!

Came well packaged. Some assembly putting the bulbs in, but not that difficult. Just be aware you have to carefully screw them in properly. Easy to hang and they are gorgeous! Bright, perfectly colored, seem very sturdy and of great quality. Bought them to replace several store bought lights that tho LED, werent so bright. Functions as advertised. Love that now we have one long continous strand. Very pleased! Spend yes, but worth it. Buy them.

Big and bright and warm. I hate LED holiday lighting that looks too cold and saturated. I wanted the look of a traditional bulb with the brightness and durability of LEDs. They are also a lot lighter than a string of traditional bulbs, which I like. The only problem I had was finding clips for the C9 base. The ones I bought work but many broke easily and wouldn't hold the base securely. If I could find some extra-large clips for next year these would be perfect. Too early to say if they are worth the premium cost since this is my first season. I'd hope the majority of bulbs last for many seasons at this price point. But for size, color, and light quality I love them. If anyone is interested I went with a 50' string of red/white (warm) alternating on our house. Just looks so professional.

I got the blue color. It resembles the old lights my parents used in the blue spruce trees, but these are brighter and more durable. The cord is sturdy, the bulbs are durable and look good, and when plugged in, they are very bright! I've had them up outside in the rain and the snow for about three months, and they are still working great.
