The Router arrived several days earlier than expected and packed securely. With help from Google search, YouTube and Century-link i managed to set up the new router and connect all of my devices. The router install only took about 45 minutes, i spent the next 4 hours tying all of my devices to the router. That was not a router problem, instead it was a failure of Google devices and security camera software manufacturers who have made changing WiFi a pain the butt. I liked that i could find my router online and easily turn off the 5mhz band to ease the connection of all of the 2.4 MHz devices. Once connected i enabled the 5 band again and was pleased that everything continued to connect and work flawlessly. The coverage is superb, my house is 2000 sq feet two story and there are no dead spots. I have a camera attached to a city light pole 50 feet in front of my house and the signal strength was great. My previous router could not handle the connected device load and frequently dropped off line. That is not a problem any more. I highly recommend this router.

We replaced a 10+ year old router with this one and couldn’t be happier with the results. For years we thought our CenturyLink internet was the problem (slow and had to frequently bounce the router). Working from home was a real challenge. I now believe our old router was a big part of the problem. With this new one the speed test shows a 2-3x increase in speed and the router hasn’t required a single reboot. Setup was super easy. Basically it was automatic. We plugged in the new router and CenturyLink detected the change and we were up and running within 10 minutes. Just had to switch all devices to use the new network. All in all my only regret is that we didn’t buy this sooner. Highly recommended!

C4000BG CenturyLink WiFi DSL router is easy to set up, is compatible with CenturyLink, and I got lightning fast internet speed. Changing admin passwords can be a problem because the GUI menus overlap when Mac OS safari is used - try google chrome! Customer service from Tommy at Be_Kind is a “10”. Not only does your router arrive with protective packaging and supersonic shipping, the shipper label is from “Have A Nice Day” at Be_Kind. 💕❤️ Tommy sent a couple of thoughtful notes to offer technical support and ensure that my experience with Be_Kind was positive. From now on, I am going to check the Be_Kind store for any future equipment needs because that stellar service gives me exceptional value for the money. 🥇🏆🙌

There are several different models of this product, so I got on the PHONE to a Century Link tech to make sure I got the model which worked with the copper wire phone line/ASDL I use for the $50 per month Century Link 100MPS service I have. This is the model. And it has the added security my old modem did NOT have. I use it with a Mesh system to cover my home with strong wifi. Great combination!!

*UPDATED REVIEW* I was contacted by the seller regarding this defective item they sold me. Since it had been several months since purchasing, I'm unable to get an exchange or my money back, which I understand. The "tech help" they provided was; to use the modem's factory default settings, so when the modem resets, our devices will just reconnect when the modem is done factory resetting itself (the original issue the modem has). I mentioned that we had already thought of that idea, and it isn't secure, so it's not an option for us. The reply to this was, "Have you factory reset the device?" They appear to have no idea how to work on the devices they sell, or any knowledge of the hardware itself. I would avoid buying expensive products from this company. The modem resetting itself was the main issue, but when I run the modem diagnostics, the hardware test and other tests failed. I showed them proof with a screenshot of the hardware failure, and they said, "I couldn't tell you for sure". 6/9/2023; I bought this modem to replace an older CL modem that didn't have great Wi-Fi range. This modem works great. Except that every 2–7 days at any random time the modem automatically resets itself to the default factory settings. Typical that it took us longer than 30 days to figure out it was our faulty "brand new" modem. So we have been instructed that no refund will be given.

I have trying for about a year to get century link to send me the right model modem and kept sending me the LG model that doesn't support bonded del. Ordered this one, plugged it in, 5 minutes later was up and connected. Change the ssid and password to old modem setting and everything connected.

Is was looking for a moden to replace my "old", tired and retired 5100. All I had to go on by on what to get, and who to get it from, were various site reviews, Cunturylink, and MUCH time spent on Google! This Moden and SELLER delivered on ALL aspects! Pretty easy to install (unless you might have an HP Printer), I'd suggest to Google compatibility with HP Printers, before buying THIS Modem (which Centurylink doesn't say ANYTHING about). Once the printer "issue" was resolved (on HP's Website), everything works GREAT! Conectivity and Speed have increased dramatically! The SELLER, is TOP NOTCH...Quick Delivery and Excellent packaging! If I ever see this sellers name on anything else I might need to order, I won't think twice on who to buy it from! Thanks BeKind!
