I used this product maybe once or twice, stored it away, and when I went to use it again it was completely dead. I even switched out the fuses but nothing. I tried a couple of things to bring it back to life but sadly it is completely dead. Can't believe this has a really bad shelf life for only being used once or twice.

We went camping and needed an inverter to run a CPAP of a marine battery for several days. We really liked the ability to use this inverter through the cigarette lighter or clipped to the battery. We had previously used a friend's inverter and battery set up. That inverter's fan was very noisy when it ran. We had to place it outside the tent with an extension cord. BUT, this inverter was very quiet in comparison when it ran. The fan does run more under load, but is reasonably quiet. We learned after three days, that having multiple cell phones charging at the same time as the CPAP running, pulled a lot of power from the battery. We woke up at about 2 am to an alert from the inverter of low power. The low power alert stopped when we disconnected those cell phones. We had to solely run the CPAP on the last nights and use other means to charge those power-hungry cell phones.

Now that’s power! On long driving trips we all need to power our various electrical accessories; those things we have come to consider necessities. For my wife it was a heat pad and for me my laptop. We tried other smaller inverters, the kind that make your cigarette plug look like an AC plug, but they were loud and would only work temporarily for the heat pad. This unit does have a fan but only turns on when needed; so far our unit has powered the heat pad quietly and continuously. Since my laptop requires less power I anticipate the same when I use that too. We love this unit and highly recommend it.
