I bought this for my lawn tractor battery to keep it topped off during the winter. I used it for a few months and it was ok, but there are way too many issues: -The leads/2-pin colors are reversed from every other charger i own (i have probably 8 other similar chargers for motorcycles, collector cars, etc.) so i can only use it for the tractor. More annoying than anything. -The power brick is so large that it covers up both duplex outlets, or three outlets on a quad, when plugged in. -I recently noticed that my (brand new) tractor battery was dead, even though it was on the charger for several days. This charger has begun to actually discharge the battery to the point where it's useless and probably damaging my battery. -Last week the power plug pins broke and fell inside the unit when I went to plug it in. I fixed the plug, but it's still draining the battery. So yeah, sorry BYGD, this unit is junk and poorly designed. I really would like a refund, but i'm sure it's been too long now. Everyone, please avoid this one and go with one of the Black and Decker or Battery Tender branded units. ... show more

Works on some batteries but not all. Purchased 2 chargers for use on my 1954 Chevy truck, dirt bike, atv, and lawn tractor. The truck has a new battery but the charger would charge for minute then error. Does the same for my lawn tractor. They do work for my atv and dirtbike. I'm using a different brand for my truck. My other complaint is the plug is the main part of the charger (button, lights, etc.). Due to the size you may only be able to plug in 1 item in a multi plug reciptical. Seems like a great deal for the $18 I spent. Works well and has plenty of features. The only issue is that the connector cables are wired backwards from the "standard" so If you have a different style of maintenance charger you may need to replace the previously connected battery connection lengths with the ones that come with this charger. ... show more

I haven't had the charger long but I keep getting error light after a day of charging on two batteries that charge fine with a Genius charger. Not working for the purpose I bought it for - trickle charge in the garage during the winter months that I'm not using my RV batteries.
