I had one of these adjustable type rakes but somewhere in the moving process it never made it here. I have several rakes but not one that is expandable in size until I got this one. That is what makes this one indispensable for gardening chores. When you need to get in tight places this is the perfect tool. It is essential for flower beds to get in between plants where there may not be much room. It goes from average size width to any desirable size until it's at it's smallest. It is very easy to adjust the width. Just slide the lever on the handle to the desired position and lock it in place. It's that easy. The pictures from left to right are fully expanded, half expanded and the smallest rake position raking between flowers. Recommended to compliment a traditional rake for hard to reach places and light work. Light weight but strong enough to get through under brush and branches. We really like the adjustable head. Its easy to change and you dont need to lug around so many tools! Great addition to your shed!

It condenses nicely for storage and works pretty well. It isn't as sturdy as I would have hoped. I bought it for the camper and wanted to rake the campsite. It didn't do some larger gravel.

I hate leaving poor reviews I really do. I don't think I've gotten 10 days of usage out of this rake. The rivets slipped out of place because they were not made right and the black bracket part connecting the shaft with the main rake base also broke at the same time. I have owned 5 other rakes. 4 of them were quite old and given to me by older neighbors when I moved into my house 9 years ago. Those four were already old when I received them and I managed to get 7-8 years of use out of those. (One broke last year, one broke at the start of this year because the wood was getting so old and brittle on those and my husband accidentally broke the third.) The other two my husband took to his business to keep the property there tidy. All I'm saying is this is the only one that has given me issue. Otherwise if this has been my first ever rake I would've chalked it up to user error. I'm disappointed and now I'm going to have to go out to the store tomorrow to buy yet another one. Otherwise it was a great rake and up until today has performed well and was easy to use and maneuver. ... show more

The orange handle broke within a year of purchasing, when the orange handle originally cracked, I hadnt realized, and pinched/cut my hand pretty good. Other than that annoyance, the telescopic feature is great for storage, and the the rake head adjustability is very useful when getting between shrubs and other plants. ... show more
