Bought the 20-60 x 65mm version. I wanted to obtain a scope that my kids could knock over without me crying. The scope came with a surprisingly sturdy hard plastic case that is well padded, has beefy latches and has a rubber gasket seal around the top. The included table-tripod is pretty cheap, but is adequate and light weight. The window-mount is integral to the tripod. A small screw holds the 2 pieces together. Image quality is good on the 20x setting, not the hyper real picture that a $500+ scope will get you, but good enough. At 40x, the exit image shrinks down to about 3/4 of the size and the colors,clarity, and do wash out somewhat. Still usable at 40x, but not great if this is the mag that you'll be using all the time. At 60x, you have to chase the tiny picture around the eyepiece to find it, and the image is pretty murky, even in bright sunlight conditions. I would say it is usable for getting a vague idea of what is going on (way out there), but not for any long term viewing. The scope also seems to shift focus between the magnification settings which I haven't experienced on more expensive scopes. Scope is touted as waterproof for brief immersion, which (if true!) is great for the price-point. It is quite large, but not that heavy. The button at the side is for rotation relative to the tripod mount. This band has click stops as you rotate so the scope isn't just slopping around in the ring mount. These detent stops are a nice quality touch on such a cheap scope. The whole dark band of the scope body at the front of the scope body extends out into a nice sun-shade. I wouldn't have realized had it not been for the instruction manual! The shade is unobtrusive when stowed and feels solid when extending and retracting. The tethered front cap is nice and snug (despite what those other reviews say). If you are rotating the scope relative to the mount, it will flop into your view! I am taking this scope to Alaska and will write an update when we return. In summary- A solid, affordable scope for 20-30 mag that can creakily stretch out for longer range. Well done Bushnell for the solid travel box and sturdy engineering of the scope features! ... show more

A superior product and easy to use and set up. Glad I bought a trusted name vs. a scope that was 40% cheaper but not as well made. Everything about this product is well made and made to last and hold up in tough conditions.

    • 48 or 60 Power - Scopes are Different - Returning Today
Read reviews carefully. Several reviews are for 60 power scope and are misleading and this is a 48 power scope. 12x makes a lot of difference when looking at 300 yard range target. Will be returning scope today. Set up at range to spot bullet impact at 100 yards. Barely visible and tripod would not hold the nose heavy scope on target. Barely functional at 100 yards (from 5.56/AR15shooting) Set up at 300 yards (for 7.62/AR10 shooting) Totally blurred at max (48x) setting. While I probably could keep scope for 50/75 yd targets - not what I expected for 200 dollars. Guess I was overly hopeful -but guess I need to step up to $ 500-750 spotting scopes to use at 300 yr targets. ... show more
