These are good overall binoculars. Not sure how waterproof they are but haven't used them outside in pouring rain. However, I noted that if they are not in an inside heated space they will absorb moisture during cold winter days. I found this out as I left them in the enclosed bridge area of our boat along with another pair of binoculars. Part way through the winter I picked them up to look at something and they were fogged up. They cleared after a few hours inside the heated boat. The other pair of cheaper binoculars did not and never has fogged up. Other than that, they are very easy to use and provide a clear sharp view. ... show more

I wanted a reasonably priced set of binoculars to keep on my boat. This set meets my needs. I bought one for myself and gifted one to my son. These binoculars are great performers at any price but especially compared to more expensive ones. Build quality is very high. One small caveat is that the barrel to adjust the focus from one eye to the other is hard to turn but will probably ease up with use.
