  • 12 days after planting and lots of flowers now growing.
Color: Pollinator Mix
-Update- It's now July 21st and a few kinds of flowers have been blooming. The patch I planted along with sunflowers didn't work out so well and ended up pulling most of them except the ones right in front, my fault for planting too many sunflowers too close together. I just extended that area at the end and put some more seeds down and they are already sprouting. But the ones I planted to hide the gas meters are coming along great, those things really took off and some are over 3' tall. I actually had to thin alot out since I put down too much seed, there were so many flowers they were falling over themselves. I pulled all the vine type ones that have white flowers and just kept them in the front so they spill over onto the lawn. The colors are amazing, whites, blues, red, yellow, and these bright pinks. And most haven't even bloomed yet. This area only gets about 4hrs direct sun a day due to being so close to the house. If I doesn't rain in a few days I'll just get out my 2 gallon watering can and give them a good drink. I'll feed them with the Miracle Grow plant food once a week. -Update- It's now June 23rd about one month since putting the seeds down and they are growing like crazy filling in everything. I think I made a mistake planting these with my sunflowers, the sunflowers are getting so huge that there leaves block out most of the sun underneath them so the flowers aren't getting much sun. I also planted the sunflowers too close to eachother. I went to water them with a watering can and alot of the flowers flopped over, they were tall and lanky. I went in and pulled most of the taller flowers out and just left the short ones. I pulled handfuls and still have alot left. I also made the mistake of throwing grass seed down before I had the brilliant idea to plant flowers instead, I had tried to rake out the grass seed prior to putting the flower seeds down but from the photos I see I didn't do such a good job and there's alot of grass growing too. As you can see I have no idea what I'm doing. But I can say these flower seeds are good to go, I can see alot of different types of flowers growing though have no idea what they are. I'm even seeing the 1st flowers already showing, little white flowers. Next time I'll plant these flowers by themselves so they receive full sun instead of them being in shade like they are now. I'm still happy since it seems some of these flowers don't mind shade and are flowering already. I got these wildflowers to plant with sunflowers in my back yard. The area was never really taken care of and full of weeds so I pulled all the weeds out then turned over the dirt with a shovel. It was mostly dry sandy dirt so I added a few bags of Miracle Grow garden soil and mixed it up good. I had some sunflowers already growing in cups so I transplanted those first then sprinkled this wildflower seed mix over the dirt and pressed it in with the back of a garden rake so the seeds hopefully wouldn't easily wash away. I watered the area daily, sometimes twice a day to keep the soil moist but not soaked. It's now 12 days since planting and there's alot of flowers sprouting and growing. I think I spread too much, I used the entire bag and the area is only about 3'x15'. There's alot of sprouts growing clumped together so hopefully they will thin themselves out or I'll have to go in and thin them out by hand. I'm very happy so far that they are growing which means the seeds are good. If something happens to them then it's probably my fault, either screwing up with watering or fertilizing. I shouldn't of spread the entire bag down in such a small area since my sunflowers are growing huge already, it's already getting crowded in there. I'll try to remember to update as the flowers grow. ... show more

  • Very happy!
Color: Pollinator Mix
Honestly, this was the easiest gardening I’ve ever done. I put some new soil in my raised bed, used about half the bag of seeds and spread it over the top, and then watered. The rest really took care of itself! One thing I will say is that when they start to grow, they just look like weeds, and I began to worry that maybe I needed to weed more — but I decided to wait it out and I’m glad I did! Here is a picture of my results! ... show more

  • Loving it.
Color: Pollinator Mix
I love the variety of flowers in this pack of seedlings. They’re growing slowly but that could be because of lack of rain, the heat, or soil. Anyway I love what I see and can’t wait to see them fully grown.

  • Beautiful Flowers - Fast Growing
Color: Hummingbird Mix
I was skeptical at first when I saw the actual seed material, but my grandson and I spread this in an area of my yard where I had to backfill a sinkhole, so there would be some growth there. Seeds germinated and sprouted within one week and by week 3, we had a lot of tall growth - beautiful large leaves. By week 4 we had gorgeous flowers, and every day there is new growth and new flowers. I have another brand I rely on that also produces gorgeous flowers in a very short amount of time but I would buy this one again as well. ... show more

  • Absolutely love this mix! On spot with the 72 days!
Color: Hummingbird Mix
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love it!! "Planted" these May 2nd. First photo is beginning, second is middleish and a few from today (July 2nd) at the end, we got some blue/purple flowers that popped up overnight!

  • Beautiful Prolific Results
Color: Hummingbird Mix
I didn't think there was that much seed in the mixture. I opened the package and saw like saw dust. I spread whole mixture along my driveway which is about 40 long and about 4 feet wide of of dirt. Wow! I go soooo many plants. It's been so much fun seeing all the different flowers. I have so many that I'm giving away bunches to the neighbors. I highly recommend. ... show more

  • Lovely
Color: Fast Blooming Mix
Three out of Five Stars – A Slow But Promising Start I had high hopes for the Burpee Fast Blooming Wildflower Mix—25,000 seeds sounded like a veritable floral explosion was imminent. And while the packaging was cheerful enough to make a bumblebee weep with joy, my little garden patch is currently more “mystery salad” than “English meadow.” The good news: something is indeed growing! Lots of green shoots have popped up, and the mix seems to germinate well—even in less-than-perfect soil. It’s lush and leafy, and the nasturtiums have clearly taken to the place like it’s a spa retreat. However, the “fast blooming” part feels a bit optimistic. Weeks in, and we’ve got leaves aplenty but nary a bloom in sight. I’m choosing to believe they’re just fashionably late and will strut their stuff any day now. Until then, it’s a bit of a leafy waiting game. Bottom line: it’s a decent product, especially if you’re patient and have an adventurous spirit. Just be prepared for a bit more “growing suspense” and a little less “instant botanical gratification.” ... show more

  • Pretty Variety
Color: Pollinator Mix
I’m very pleased with the results. Be sure to check occasionally and weed before it spreads and overtakes the actual flowers. Mix was spread in early March, picture taken late June.
