So far, I have only used it to burnish metal before welding, but it came with brushes for polishing, and I think that along with buffing wheels will meet all my needs. Takes some getting used to but gets the job done rather quickly and with less work. Leaves surface prepped rather neatly. Great tool for removing large amounts of surface rust in short time.

Amazon delivered the tool promptly and on time. Before putting the tool to work, I noticed a few areas of concern. The diameter of the hole in roller rest is too large for the bolt/shaft that it spins on, resulting in a very sloppy fit; to the point where the roller pinched against the bracket holding and it not allowing the roller to spin. I fixed the issue by machining away 3/16" of the bracket on my milling machine; it's still a sloppy fit but now it rolls along as it should. Secondly, the air inlet screen holes on one side were plugged up with silver paint; less than 50% of the screen allowed air to pass into the motor which would likely lead to the motor overheating. I fixed this by poking through the paint with a small pointed pick. The 3/4" arbor that holds the burnishing drum has a small amount of play. Although the play is minimal, there shouldn't be any side-to-side play, which leads me to believe that either the arbor is too small for the bearings or bushings or vice versa which will eventually lead to premature wear. The abrasive burnishing drums that came with it are not labeled. Overall, the tool works as intended and I would still recommend it for occasional use, however, because of the play in the arbor I have reservations about it holding up as a daily use tool.

You're getting a basic Asian clone of a tool that originally sold for $300 and up. There are NO instructions in the booklet that comes with it although there is a parts diagram. It doesn't match the model I received. The top handle attaches to the shield, there is no other bracket for it. The booklet is very ESL and mostly contains warnings about not killing yourself with the tool. Most buyers will have no trouble assembling it just by looking at the parts. Nice long cord. The roller wheel to protect the work from the shield can be installed on front or back. This can use drums with 2 slots or keyways or 4. It comes with 4 drums that have 4 slots. They are not labeled. It has a soft start control, meaning it ramps up to the set speed rather than all at once when you pull the trigger. There is a trigger lock. It also has a spindle lock. You get 2 square keys to install in the shaft to hold the drum. They fall out when you change drums. I plan to dimple the shaft with a punch so they stay put. All the screws were tight and I tested it removing paint from a car fender. Works OK so it should last until the bearings or gears wear out. That can be months or years with imports like this. I've had great luck for the most part so I will recommend this over the expensive alternatives. It would strip paint better with an interleaved flap wheel drum. If you plan to use this for auto work, buy some flap drums at the same time.

Working with stainless sheet metal or stainless surfaces sometimes requires removal of tool marks, or leaving a finish that can be exposed that is visually appealing. I struggled for sometime to achieve this, i had attempted using a standard grinder which of course leaves circular pattern finishes (this may be acceptable in some cases). In larger surfaces this tool will leave the same finish as a stainless fridge door as a reference. Clean and easy on the eyes. PLEASE note: It will take some effort if the stainless is gouged, scratched, or marked too heavily. My advice use a grinder with a sand pad (120 grit or better) and remove ALL surface blemishes, then use this tool. Great product which can add that final tough to your parts.

Amazing!!! I buy used items and really enjoy fixing them back to new. This helps me learn about it while then having something really nice for fraction of price. Boat quad welder are a few of the items I’ve had trouble with stripping. I’ve tried soda blasters air compressor needed is bigger than I wanna buy. Stripping chemicals are harmful time consuming and don’t work all that well but this bad boy right here removes the paint with ease while also polishing the metal. Wish I had this sooner would have saved time and money while improving the quality of my resto projects.

I'm not a professional metal worker or customizer but I have built several cars over the years and was looking for something to clean and prep sheet metal and clean frames. This tool isn't the most expensive nor is it the cheapest but it does a great on the the jobs I need it for. It works best cleaning surface rust. It leaves a burnished appearance on the metal. After scrapping the heavy stuff off of car frames it does a good job on what's left. Due to the size and stiffness of the rolls it doesn't get into the smaller areas. But that can be handled other ways. Overall this tool saves me time and effort. And as I get older that becomes Increasingly more important to me.
