Fits perfect over my Geissele MK16 rail! Came in very durable plastic package and was sealed well. After removing from the package, the wrap gave me a great first impression. No creases and the two half’s were already laced together. The quality of the material was excellent. Soft to the touch with a perfect balance between flexible and stiff. I was easily able to slide it over my hand guard and cinch it down exactly where I wanted it via the elastic cord. When I tested it, I dropped around 150 rounds of m855 through a 14.5 barrel. I ran this HOT! The barrel was so hot that it was smoking the all the residual oil off and the rail was almost too hot to even hold with gloves. But that didn’t stop this rail wrap from doing its job! The elastic straps held up perfect and were Unphased by the heat, as well as the wrap made it completely tolerable to hold and blocked the heat mirage. Already convinced all my range buddy’s into buying one and I will be getting several more! Defiantly worth every penny! 10/10 would recommend to anyone! ... show more

Exactly as advertised, I use this on an AR 18 short barrel, the piston system tends to get hotter but this protects me from that. Still should probably use gloves but this definitely gives you an extra layer of protection from the heat the piston system can generate upfront.Would definitely buy again. ... show more

Run a gas piston with an aluminum free float barrel. Run about 200 rounds every time I run the obstacle course, fast shooting. This helps with the heat a lot and holding up nice still.

It works great for shooting a lot of rounds in a class or if you’re in the sun it keeps your hand off the aluminum rail. My only problem isn’t with the product it’s with the listing. This is the bigger version, I wanted the smaller one.
