We love our coffee, and working remotely drink enough that we had two machines going at home every morning. We decided to give the Bunn VPR Commercial series a try and we are not disappointed! Having two hot decanters full of our favorite life-giving elixir of joy is delightful. Pros: fast, pour over brew with excellent flavor. You’ll have a full pot of delicious coffee in about two minutes. Cons: because it’s always hot (no plumbing required) you have to make a full pot every time, and need to let the water heat up before you make a second pot. Traditional Bunn 8-12 cup filters are too small for this machine-you’ll need the larger commercial 12 cup filters with wide bottom and higher sides or you’ll end up with grinds in your cup. And if you’re a fan of auto shut off, you’ll have to remember to turn off your burners within a reasonable time or you’ll end up with other problems. Overall, it’s very simple to use and makes a fantastic pot of coffee (or two)! ... show more

I love the Bunn coffee makers! This one said it came with 2 decanters but it didn’t say it came with a pitcher for the water and it came with about 30 or so filters! Now I did not think about how tall this one would be compared to the 10 cup one you can buy in many grocery stores. You have to have access to the back of the coffee maker to pour the water in. Overall I LOVE my new coffee maker and I recommend the Bunn brand! If you have a problem with your Bunn, get a hold of them directly and they will work with you! ... show more

Disliked temperature setting was at max when it came. Followed directions clear still didn't operate correctly. Kept boiling water in tank. Instructions were not helpful. Downloaded schematics from bunn and found temperature adjustment. Backed it off a quarter tun and operating perfect now. 2 screws on top. Temp control inside to the left. Clearly on the card attached to the temp knob was a card stating turn temp all the way down when filling . Run one pot water thru then raise to desired temp. ... show more

Ok so I dislike when people give a product less than 5 stars and in their review, they tell you the item is perfect BUT they give some crazy reason for giving it less than 5 stars that has nothing to do with what they received. Like "it's perfect but it came a day later than they said it would so 3 stars". Or, "the item is exactly as stated but it's too shiny...2 stars", or "there's nothing wrong with the product but my friend told me she saw one for 5 cents cheaper somewhere else so I'm deducting a star". What?! Anyway, sorry for making you read that just to tell you the Bunn coffee maker works perfectly and brews tasty coffee...it's just REALLY loud. Crazy loud. If we're watching TV and it runs its heating cycle, we can no longer hear what's on TV. So 5 stars for it being exactly what it should be but we're probably going to replace it with something quieter and donate it to someone or some restaurant. ... show more

    • Now THAT’S a Coffee Maker!

We got this for a small office (20 people) with a caffeine addiction. This is actually an impressive machine. Ours came slightly damaged in shipping, but nothing a hammer couldn’t straighten back out. The setup is pretty darn simple because there’s not a million pieces and knobs. You fill the tank with another pitcher of water when you want more coffee. For some people in my office – that took a little getting used to as more than one office member has made a HUGE mess pouring water into the tank without having a pitcher in the bottom part. The operation really couldn’t be more simple though. Turn on the warmers if you want, or don’t, but making a pot of coffee is as easy as putting coffee in the filter, and running a pot of coffee through. We live in a high-altitude environment, and had to figure out how to adjust the thermostat so that the water gets the right temperature, which was easy except that it would have been very nice to have a little gauge to make sure we got it to the right temperature. We did a lot of trial and error trying to find the right temperature, but once we got there – it was easy. Everyone is satisfied with the coffee and this thing is being used a lot now. So overall, we think it’s a great workhorse. If I had a comment I would say it’s almost too simple. But if you’re just looking for a traditional coffee maker for a bunch of people – this is just fine. ... show more
