This is a strong but thin particle board. The ribbons holding each piece were just staples and came apart a bit. But I overall this gives good even support for my mattress on a slatted raised platform bed.

This has made making the bed so much easier. I don’t have the sliding that the other bunky board allows. I’d choose this one again. It’s good quality, fits perfect and doesn’t slide.

(Day 1/Initial Review) I will say this is decently functional for its intend purpose. I was trying to get more rigidity between a box spring and a mattress. The panel design makes it difficult to use the way I want. My saggy memory foam mattress is just going to be saggy. I think that is a flaw inherent in memory foam design though, and discourage anyone from getting a mattress that is just memory foam. Mattress issues aside, this product is just plain cheap. It is 1/4 MDF. Strapped together, and the straps are stabled to the board. Just deploying the board caused a few of the staples to come loose. Total material cost was probably around $20 if made in the US. If you wanted to make your own, you could buy a saw and 2 sheets of MDF, and cut to fit, for less tha. This costs, and you would end up with extra MDF and a saw. But why use MDF at all? Plywood is almost as cheap and holds up to moisture a lot better, as well as standing up to weight better in the long term. Maybe because the cheap staples would struggle to puncture plywood? I would imagine there would be solid wood solutions that you could do yourself that would last a lifetime, and cost less.
