The Bunkie Board works great for keeping my mattress firm! I have something similar under my genuine leather sofa, cushions, so I figured why not under my mattress as well, right? It’s not heavy, nor is it thick at 10 MM. It was easy enough to lift it and place on top of my Queen size bed. I have wood and metal slats but I don’t care for the spaces in between the slats. It comes with 2 boards, but I only used one. Velcro is stitched around part of the edges. There are also 2 Velcro straps to tie it around the bed frame. It is made sturdily, and the polyester cover fabric is woven well. Under the fabric, it feels like particleboard or plywood, it does not feel like solid wood. Seems durable enough as I tried to bend it (it’s a little flexible) and it did not snap and break. My Queen size Bunkie board is the same size as my Queen frame and fits well. It had less than an eighth of an inch sticking out, but it’s not visible once the mattress goes over it. Also, my bed frame is not the metal bed frame type that is pictured on the sellers page. I ended up just using one board though and the other board in the guestroom bed. It seems like a durable enough Bunkie board and it’s a great idea! It helps with my back support !

Assembling was quick and easy. We have a metal frame and had wooden slats that sat opposite the frame to keep our mattress supported, but ultimately had to zip tie the fabric of the slats in place to keep it from shifting. This bunkie board is insanely better. Our mattress doesn't move! It has grips to it to keep it steady with the bottom of the mattress, velcro's in the center to keep the boards together, and the stability is amazing. After sleeping on it for even the first night, we both noticed a huge difference in our king bed, and it has been a week, and my sleep has already improved. We just got a new house and I haven't slept well since we moved in, once we got these on the bed though my sleep improved and I wasn't expecting that, at all! I'll definitely be buying more of these for our kids' beds as we need them. My next resort was going to be the basic plywood until I found these!

I have a bonus room in my house that I mostly use as a yoga/reading room, but when I have extra guests over it's perfect to convert to a spare bedroom. I had a metal fold-up bed frame, and a foldable memory foam mattress, but without a box spring it just wasn't a comfortable set up. And a big box spring is impossible for me to store. Enter this clever little support board! It's the perfect solution for my setup. It's strong and sturdy, and gives a firm foundation for my mattress. But it's also thin and light enough to fold up and store away easily. No more putting guests on the floor!

I recently moved into a new home and got a new bed. This is the first time I've ever not had a box springs with my bed, and I do have a slatted queen size bed frame I noticed that, when making my bed, bits of sheets hang down from the slats because I have no board or box springs to keep the fold under in place beneath my mattress. When I saw this "bunky bed" set, I had no idea what it was! Upon reading about it, I saw that it could solve a problem I didn't even realize I had! What a great idea! This bed frame board is the perfect solution for folks who have no box springs. It protects my mattress from the slats of the metal bed frame, and provides support under the mattress. I will say that installing it was sort of confusing. It was not accompanied by any instructions, and the instructions shown on Amazon were vague. My husband and I unmade the bed and removed the mattress. From there, we placed the top board on the bed frame as explained in the instructions on Amazon. However, the velcro straps on either side of the board left us a bit confused, but assumed we should strap them to the bed frame on either side -since that was the only thing to do with them. However, the board was able to slide up and down the bed frame, and there were no real instructions as to what to do with the velcro. Eventually, we simply decided to strap the velcro to either side around the frame rails, and with each of the two boards in place, we put the mattress on top. Success! Our mattress is now supported by the bed frame as usual but now has a board between the mattress and the frame. I am pleased with the outcome! I am rating this product four stars instead of five (wish I could rate it 4.5 stars) only because we were confused about how to best secure the boards to the frame - and the general lack of instructions - especially regarding what to do with the velcro straps. Overall, I do suggest this board at the excellent price. This board makes a great protector between the frame and the mattress. I also enjoy not seeing sheets hanging below the slats of the bed frame when I walk into my room.
