This glass dome clock reminds me of the clocks I saw in Triburg, Germany many years ago. Although it's not made in Germany it still has that charming appeal. It does take some patience to set the time correctly, by pressing the reset button and listening to how many rings go off; repeating this until the number of rings match the time. It's not difficult. I did have an issue with turning the minute hand around, going clockwise. Looking at the clock closely, I then saw the minute hand was pressed against the hour hand and could not move. Using a metal nail file I very carefully lifted the minute hand, just a smidgen, off of the hour hand. Now it runs perfectly and is keeping accurate time. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

We are very satisfied with this clock that replaced our anniversary clock we had purchased from Montgomery Ward back in 1975. This clock is 9 inches tall and it looks very much like the 12 inch dome clock that finally stopped working. It was pretty easy to set the chime and the time. We have had it about a month now and very pleased. It seems to be built well. If this one last as long as our first one, it will be the last dome clock we will have to purchse. I gave it 4 stars because it's not brass it's plastic. It's accurate it looks beautiful the chime is not too loud except it's plastic I think shouldve been half of the price it is now .I kept it very pretty on my TV stand

This is not like my old one that I had for many years but it's okay Chimes are kind of tinny. I really think 4 batteries is overkill. My old one ran on one and did chime. So far it seems to be keeping good time.
