  • Great for the light jobs
Color: BLUE
Exceeded my expectations. Granted they weren’t super high. This easily tilled my raise garden beds. It got bogged down a little with last years bean vines. It made fast work of the tilling. I would not expect this to create a new garden or handle rocks well you’d be disappointed if that’s your aim. My 18v Makita battery slid right in and locked into place without any issues. Highly recommend for light projects ... show more

  • Good Product
Color: BLUE
Makita batteries do fit as claimed and work well. Appears well made and works well. Have hard clay soil but it managed to get through it. Takes a little arm muscle as is light weight . Only concern is where to buy replacement tines as they will eventually wear.

  • Lightweight, Battery-Friendly Cultivator That Gets the Job Done (Within Its Limits)
Color: RED
I was looking for a small tiller that could use batteries from one of my existing platforms, and this one fit the bill perfectly. I wanted something lightweight for simple tasks like turning over a flower bed and loosening up the top layer of soil where I plan to lay pavers in an area that the dogs have tore up already. When it arrived, everything was well packaged and all parts were included. Assembly was quick and straightforward—it took me maybe 5 minutes from start to finish. I popped in one of my M18 batteries and took it outside to test it. The cultivator is not very large, a little smaller than a Mantis and it has decent power for it's size, but definitely no powerhouse. I started with a small section of the flower garden, and it turned the soil over nicely. Then I handed it off to my 21-year-old daughter, who takes care of the garden, and she was able to till the entire area in a short amount of time without any issues. That said, it’s important to understand what this tool is—and what it isn’t. This is a cultivator, not a heavy-duty tiller. It’s great for turning over existing soil, loosening the top few inches, and maintaining garden beds or rows. However, it’s not designed to break new ground or dig 6–8 inches deep for a brand-new garden. The unit is lightweight and easy to maneuver, though like most tools in this category, you do need to apply a bit of downward pressure to keep it engaged with the soil. On a single charge (using a higher-capacity battery), the battery handled everything I needed without any problems. Overall, this is a solid, well-priced tool—especially if you already own compatible batteries. As long as you go in with the right expectations, it performs exactly as it should. I’d definitely recommend it for light to moderate garden work. ... show more

  • MaxMore Brushless Cordless Tiller (Tool Only)
Color: YELLOW
Heavy-Duty Performance for the DeWalt Platform If you are already invested in DeWalt 20V batteries, this tool is a high-value addition to your landscaping arsenal. I tested this unit using a DeWalt 5.0 Ah battery, and the results were impressive. Key Takeaways from My Testing: Assembly: The unit arrives in several parts, but assembly is straightforward with the included instructions. Perfect Battery Fit: One of the best things about this tool is the interface. The DeWalt batteries fit perfectly with no slop—it clicks in securely just like an original DeWalt tool. Tackling Heavy Clay: This isn't just for loose mulch. I tested it in heavy clay, and it really dug in. The unit feels solid and doesn't just bounce across the surface; the 48 steel tines and 280 RPM provide the torque needed to break up compacted ground. Battery Recommendation: This is a "tool only" purchase. While it runs on the DeWalt 20V platform, make sure your batteries are at least 4.0 Ah or higher. You need that extra capacity to get the necessary "oomph" and runtime for serious soil turning. Excellent Warranty & Service: The product comes with a 5-year warranty. I sent an email to MaxMore to test their responsiveness, and they contacted me within 24 hours. They confirmed that a simple screenshot of the purchase is all that is required for a claim. Final Verdict If you already have DeWalt 20V batteries (4.0 Ah+) and a charger, this is a no-brainer. It is a rugged, capable machine that holds its own against tough clay and is backed by surprisingly responsive customer support. ... show more

  • Works Well, Needs Milwaukee Battery.
Color: RED
Took a while to review this one as I thought I had a battery that could work with it. Very specifically ONLY works with Milwaukee battery and so is a separate purchase if you don't already have one on hand. Had to purchase an adapter and then bit the bullet and picked up a Milwaukee battery and charger for an extra $45. Would give it a 4-star for overall performance so long as you have a battery ready to go. -Works well for light-mid duty tilling. If you have soft soil and some roots, it'll do great. It can get through clay and dense roots but will take some time and focus on those specific areas. For brand new gardens using fresh soil, it's perfect for mixing. -Using it is easy as it's not too heavy and it's small enough to travel with if you do landscaping/gardening in the middle of nowhere. Does have some weight at the end but that's needed and helps keep it in the ground, also just has a pretty powerful motor so can't be helped. -Only real complaint is obviously the lack of battery. Some brands have interchangeable batteries and/or those that can be adapted easily. Milwaukee however has very specific needs and design. If you have a battery and charger ready the price is good, but if you have to pick those up it easily adds an extra 30-50 dollars to the tag which starts competing for better and more powerful models and versions. ... show more
