Got this unit and charged it up with the included USB-C cable. Simple to operate. I left the lights on my Honda CR-V for about an hour while at home. This way I can test how it works on a dead battery BEFORE I am away from home, where I could plug in the battery charger. Battery was so dead that only thing I heard with the chime when I put the key in and tried to start. Car would not even try to turn over. Hooked up the unit , simple to do, to the battery and got in and immediately started up the car., then immediately un-clamped the booster unit from the battery and turned off the car. Let it sit for a minute and tried to start the car. The car battery "tried", but was unable to turn over the engine to start. So, hooked it back up again to the battery booster, and car started right up. Afterward, I hooked up the car battery to a battery charger I have, and it was in a safe place for me to charge the car. Bottom line is, I and my wife now have complete confidence that we can start our car when away from home, if needed. We had been at Walmart earlier in the year and wife left the key on and lights on while I shopped and didn't realize that the lights were still on. Battery was dead when I came out and if WE WOULD HAVE HAD THIS UNIT, it would have started up. As it was, I pushed the car a bit and using the gears to turn over the motor, was able to start the car. I was fortunate that it was not parked up a hill or that would not have been a solution (stick shift auto ie Not automatic transmission) So It works as it's supposed to. NICE little case, with hard shell and a zippered enclosure for the battery clamp device which makes it very nice. Only thing that doesn't work is the built in compass. But, I did not buy it for a compass, and could care less if it worked. I bought it specifically to start a car if needed. It also has a light, that I would assume would last a long time, if you needed it to change a tire in the dark. Good product!

Former efforts to jump-start the vehicle required bulky battery starters and extensive extension cords – a method that was both fatiguing and time-consuming. In spite of this, when I ultimately made the decision to test out the BRPOM Jump Starter, the effect was remarkable. Once linked and adjusted to blue, it promptly revived the inactive Cadillac, to my astonishment. The convenience this petite contraption provides is incomparable. The credit for my acquaintance with this game-changer goes to a friend who utilized it for his automobiles. Observing its functionality and the quickness with which it propelled his vehicles was a revelation. Despite my initial skepticism about its compact form factor, the device's performance and reasonable price convinced me to purchase one for myself. The jump starter's carrying case is a thoughtful detail, offering a precise storage solution for both the device and its accessories. The design of the device itself is a marvel of practicality. In addition to its voltage display, which is a highly practical characteristic, it also has a useful light that came in handy when connecting it in poorly lit conditions. I have used, and loaned, this several times. It has started the lawn tractor, my son's car, and my diesel truck. If the battery is completely dead, it doesn't always start the vehicle. It works so well my neighbor had me order one for him. The two criticisms I have are: 1) the cables are very light duty, and get quite hot if needing more than one start sequence or if used on the diesel, and 2) pwer consumption is more than advertised, and not reliable below 40%. As an emergency use item, it is a very good addition to the tool kit. And, it is quite a bit cheaper than others.

I purchased this unit over 2 years ago. I have just recently used it several times and was impressed that it has held nearly full charge for over a year and has jumped vehicles 5 times in the last month. It dropped from 95% to 85% with those 5 jumps and recharged back to 99% within 30 minutes. I was at a get together with friends last spring and several people needed to charge their phones so I pulled out this and charged several phones. I charged it back up and didn't use it until just the last few weeks. It only lost 5% in a year. Great little device. I highly recommend it!!!
