This is a great little printer that works perfectly with Windows 10. I was worried from some of the negative reviews that some of the functions of the printer wouldn't work, or would be difficult to use, but everything besides the mobile app worked the first time perfectly. The brother set up instruction video says you should use the mobile app to connect the printer to WiFi, but that didn't work. I used the controls on the printer itself to connect to WiFi and it worked perfectly and I have printed from two different computers already with no problems. The print quality is better than an old HP Inkjet printer too. All in all, this is a great little printer that is easy to use and has functionality of much more expensive printers. ... show more

Great home office printer option. Love the cordless connectivity. Was able to easily connect to WIFI and start printing and scanning. Smaller footprint than previous all in one machines. Comes with an optional ink cartridge refill program. Cartridges are very easy to replace using the front door. No need to lift the top of the machine off. Key feature for me was the ability to print on envelopes and it does. In fact, it can print on many different paper sizes. The IOS application is easy to install and set up. I have only had this for a few days so cannot comment on ink or how well it holds up mechanically. The price was good, and the printing is exceptionally good. The ease of installation was unremarkable, neither better nor worse than what I'm used to. I would advise against the Wifi setup option that allows you to hook up a USB cable and type your configurations from the computer. While that seems attractive, the install program was clumsy and I was never able to complete the install using that method. Once I abandoned that and set everything up on the printer front panel - everything took right off. It was instantly visible to the Wireless Access, and both Mac and Windows machines. ... show more

I have Linux Mint 21.2 on ASUS laptop. I have used HP Printer for over 20 years, and after buying the last HP Laptop and Printer, I have decided to never buy from them again. The printers are just getting too cheap. The design on the last Hp Printer was total junk. Paper jams,parts breaking. While I did try out the instant ink for the last two years, that does save you a bunch of money. But when you need ink, don't think you will just go buy one at Walmart. Because it might work a few times, and then it will not work. If you are still subscribed. Brother Refresh I hope will be better at the delivery. If not I will just buy them myself. But as for the setup.... Wow it was easy in Linux. I just plugged in USB and it found it immediately. Printed on first try. Way better settings. With generic drivers, it worked. From the printer keypad, I found my router. Just added the security key and it connected. Updated Firmware in about 5 minutes. I printed from my Android phone without any big setup. Just choose print,and then find your new printer in list. The last few times I have installed printers in Windows or Linux Mint, it has been a real pain. This Brother printer seems well made compared to any printers I have bought in years. I have bought expensive photo printers from HP that used to be well made and lasted me over ten years. When I saw the ugly white printers that will look dirty in a couple days, I decided I will not buy another printer from HP. We run a small online antique, vintage business online. We’ve had Epson, Canon, and the last one was HP. We print invoices for PrimpingYourHome. Com. The HP printer only wanted to print when it felt like it! It drove us crazy. We were also on the HP ink program which seemed to cost us more and more. With the brother printer we decided to just buy the ink right from Amazon. The printer was setup in about 10 minutes. I wired it to my wife’s computer and I use the WiFi for my computer and cell phone! It prints fast. Turns it self on when we hit the print button on the computer and turns itself off when it’s not doing anything! Great buy! So far my favorite printer! Oh and the brother printer also is a fax machine if you need that option! Great home office printer! Out of the other brands we’ve owned before I have to say this is my favorite! ... show more

We just moved and needed to purchase a printer for our home office. This is our first Brother printer after coming from HP. It is a much better experience to use Brother versus HP. We were very disappointed with HP's ink replacement options and it has been very easy to swap the Brother cartridges out when they are empty. It is a very quick printer and has been much faster than our last two HP printers as well. It is fairly quiet and not obnoxious when it prints. It has all of our features we need like scan, fax, copy, and just regular printing. We absolutely love the double sided printing feature and has helped us cut down our paper usage! ... show more

This is the third Brother printer I have had. All have worked very well including one which is over 10 years old, but not WIFI. I still use it for an older computer and it still works perfectly. I had to get a Wifi printer to use with my Chromebook and new computer. It was easy to set up and it prints quickly, clearly and with zero issues. Brother makes the best printers. ... show more
