Wasted two hours of my life on this sub par garbage. The plastic is cheap and cracked. The threads for the bolts aren’t properly threaded. The tubes are too thin and bend. Finally, the height clearance is too short making it near impossible to remove the roof panels. Now I have to take this piece of junk apart so I can send it back to Amazon. Cheap Chinese junk.

I had high hopes for the rack as I contacted the company and they assured me I could remove the front tops with the rack installed. I went ahead and installed the rack on my 23 Bronco and low an behold I can not remove the front tops. I contacted the company once again and I was told it was their mistake and the tops would not come off with the rack installed. The ease of installation was simple. The directions are lacking words but if you are handy, you’ll figure it out. I wanted to love this for the price and amount of cross bars, but I guess I’ll have to go with the OEM version and pay a little more. If you don’t want to take the tops off this rack is for you. If you do, save your time and don’t buy this one!

The install was fairly straight forward and easy to do with basic hand tools. It gives the appearance of the Ford OEM roof rack offered and feels quite sturdy when installed. Pros are sturdy aluminum rails. Fit and finish are very well done (only trouble I had was the rear cross bar holes were slightly out of alignment). Instructions were diagrams and made sense (only issue was a few steps missing or needing interpretation). Looks like it belongs on the Bronco. Cons for 4 door models this is all you get (no rear most anchor point or more cross bars). Top is not able to come off. There is some wind noise added that sounds kind of like a wind tunnel effect (noticeable with radio off, but not overly loud at 70MPH). NOTE: I mention that the front roof panels will not come off. This is incorrect! I had a bad batch of roof racks from manufacturing and the issue has been rectified!

I have previously owned the factory rack on my Wildtrak. Got this for my Braptor, which wasn't a customer order and therefore didn't come with a factory rack. The Broaddict is considerably less expensive than the factory rack (if you buy the factory rack separate from a Bronco order) but aside from price, it's inferior. The ABS plastic parts are not tooled to the same tolerances as the factory. As with the other Broaddict rack I've reviewed, the metal machining was inaccurate. Trying to hand-thread the bolts, I was confronted with concern that I was cross-threading them. The threads were poorly machined. Yes, you could jam them in, at risk of cross threading them. Or, if you have the skills, you could re-tap them, but this is not a do-it-yourself kit here and you would need to have some basic machine shop skills. In any event, re-tapping is not something anyone should have to do for a finished product. The side and cross bars are a slightly thinner grade than the factory, which would not be a deal breaker for me, because I'm using this for bikes or kayaks. I wouldn't trust these rails to support a a tent with two people sleeping in it. The issue is that the tolerances of the tubes aren't good and I could see imperfections. At least for me, there are better options available.

This roof rack is not difficult to install. It comes with everything you need to get it on the roof and get going. Once installed, it looks great. I was really impressed with how much this added to the look of the vehicle. The rack itself does a great job supporting all the things you throw on top of it. What I really like is that it gives me a place to really tie things down, so that I don’t have to worry about them while driving. I like that this setup comes with the 3 crossbars. It gives the roof rack a little more versatility than some others. The rack itself seems to be made of good quality materials and should last a long time.

The Broaddict Roof Rack Cross Bars Kit has two major problems: 1) When you install these you can no longer remove the top! Nowhere in any of the documentation does it mention that once this is on the vehicle the top cannot come off. That is a horrible design and it is a major problem not to tell consumers this!! 2) The rear bar was several inches too long. I had to cut it to the right size. Also worth mentioning that these arrived with several scratches not caught prior to sending them to me.
