I just got these shorts today and I do like them. I am 135 pounds and ordered the size M. These are NOT stretchy, which is fine because I wasn't expecting a stretch. I like the drawstring and the fringe along the thighs. If they don't wash up well I will report back and add to this review.

For reference, I am 5’6” 142 lbs with a rectangular torso and thick thighs, I ordered a medium, as suggested, and I don’t have any complaints about the way they fit. They are snug on my body type, because I don’t have much of a waist, but if you are on the skinny side or have an hourglass figure, i’m sure it would be different. There’s nothing overtly wrong with the shorts, but they simply aren’t what I ordered. I included a picture of the color and style for reference, next to what they look like on. I went back and double checked what I ordered, thinking maybe there were two grays and I clicked on the wrong one - but I ordered correctly and didn’t see another one that looks like what I got that it could have been mixed up with. The shorts in the photo look like they’re made of soft, swing-y material, almost like pajamas. The fabric of the shorts I received is stiff and rough. It’s also almost a blue, and not at all the neutral gray pictured. They don’t lie flat against your body, but puff out. I’ve tried on worse shorts, and can always use these for yard work, but I don’t think I’d have looked twice at the real ones vs what I liked about the ones advertised. They aren’t sheer, they have good back coverage. I don’t understand the super heavy-duty waistband paired with an unnecessarily long and superfluous drawstring (it literally does nothing), but I guess it’s not hurting anything. Not worth the hassle of sending them back at this price point, but beware you’re not getting what you think you are. ... show more

These are really comfortable without being too much like stretchy shorts! They still have a denim feel even with the waistband! I’m super impressed - I’m tall at 5’8” and have a curvy bottom and they have great coverage and aren’t too bootylicious!
