Update: How did I survive tap water without this! This filter system is wonderful. I love that I know how much water I am drinking each time and each day. The odor is gone and the taste is better than bottled water and I am not putting more plastic into the environment. Win for me, win for ecology. Can I do 10 stars? Have used it for 24 hours only but love this. I was concerned that Amazon indicated that this was frequently returned for refund, but ordered it knowing that I could return it if necessary. Most poor ratings noted leakage. I think they didn't set the filter in properly personally. I prefer to drink tap water rather than paying for bottled water, much of it is just filtered tap water anyhow. But the community I just moved to over-chlorinates the water and the smell and taste are awful. This filtering system works amazing at filtering out the chlorine! Hopefully it is filtering out contaminants also as promised. I love the ability to use the preset dispensing amounts or to just push and release for cups/glasses that hold less water. Quick to set up. Easy to use. The reservoir holds a sufficient amount of water for my daily use. And the price was right.

Purchased the Brita Hub system in October 2023, and it was really great for a couple of years. Have maintained it well. Now, in early 2026, the system keeps rejecting the filter - the filter drops out on its own several times a week, often mid-fill. It is often difficult to re-insert the filter into the system. Having a new filter does not resolve the issue. The lights are constantly blinking, despite not needing a new filter or a water fill. It's become a nuisance to use, and we go without filtered water daily because the machine frequently isn't working. We have to futz with the filter multiple times each day, and it is super frustrating. I think a product I pay $200 for should last longer without issue.

This machine far outranks the Auquasana that I just tossed in the trash ! It is easy to operate and a simple process to insert the filter. I was about to give up on my search for a countertop water filter until I came across this one. I tried a reverse osmosis but found that the water comes out extremely slow. Also a waste water disposal was an issue for me. The Brita has a fast strong water flow. My Auquasana went on the blink one month after the warranty was up. It always dripped and I had to keep an absorbant coaster under it. The filter was not easy to change. And the light malfunctioned and never stopped blinking no matter how many times I followed the proper procedure of changing the filter. I always had to unplug it to stop the light then plug it back in to use it. It also always seemed to have a small amount of leakage around the tap water vessel itself. So after all of that with Auquasana I am so happy to report that this Brita is a dream to operate ! And the water tastes fantastic ! Thank you Brita !!

** Update End of January 2025: My Brita Hub started to have some leakage issue. I replaced the cartridge and also checked all the accessible connections - and was not able to figure it out. Fortunately, the Brita support staff (Alayna and Lakyn) were extremely quick and helpful, and sent me a new replacement unit. I won't subtract any stars from my original review due to this outstanding customer support. Thank you. ** Original review: I stumbled upon this filter system after looking for a more convenient way to get purified water. As someone who does not have a filtration system integrated into the faucet, nor a fridge, this was a very useful buy. Having instant filtered water is absolutely fantastic - we were always very jealous of the fridge-integrated solutions. The device itself is setup pretty easily with some customizations possible in terms of the water tank location. The filter snaps into place, making all these steps a breeze. The filtered water taste is nice, and the overall noise level is also not too bad (for the few seconds it takes to fill up a glass). There are only three buttons to dispense the water - from a 12oz and 20oz option, to a free-flow option where it dispenses water as long as the button is pressed. Having used all buttons, I think these were well chosen. Now, having had lots of experiences with previous (passive) water filters, such as Pur or Brita, I was hoping that this active pumping through the filter would extend the lifetime of the filter. Unfortunately I was wrong. The included filter is advertised for six months, but had to exchange it only after three months (May til August). Given the high pricepoint of these specialized filters, I found this rather disappointing. Our potable tapwater is already relatively clean, so I find it hard to believe that the filter are "bad". Having said that, overall, the advantage for our household of three is to have almost instantaneous, freshly filtered water - and its fantastic. While it does not chill (or heat up) the water, we are happy to have purchased this machine. Summarized, you should consider the following pros and cons: Pro: + Instantaneous, filtered water though active water pumping through filter + Can be located pretty much anywhere where it can be plugged in (thus highly portable) + Relatively robust design + Easy setup and somewhat nice-looking exterior + Well-established brand (with its filter issues, see below) Cons: - The filter problem still exist - depending on usage and water quality, expect to exchange the filter far more frequently than advertised - There is some energy consumption compared to passive filtering - The buttons feel a bit cheap (plastic) - Overall price point is pretty high for a glorified water pump Other considerations: ~ No chilled, or heated water ~ The water tank can be designed a bit larger ~ Wetting and cleaning the filter for the first time after insertion takes a while ~ Likely no filtration benefit over a fridge-or faucet-integrated system Given such a niche product, I would give this a 4 stars. We are happy about it, but mainly because we do not have an alternative (fridge filters, RO system) that we can use.

I purchased this during prime deal days and so far very pleased. I love the design and functionality. It sits next to the kitchen sink, so refilling is very easy and convenient (we have an expandable hose faucet). It did leak initially after dispensing water from the spout, once it was set up. However, it stopped and is no longer the case (not sure if that is due to whenever a new filter is used or if this was a "break in" period for a new unit?). Overall, very pleased with the purchase and hope that replacement filters become more available and from different vendors in the future.

I bought this in April of 2024, so I’ve had it a while and feel I can give a good honest review. I also bought a 3 pack of replacement filters at the same time. Now- I drink a lot of water every single day. I have a 64 ounce jug and a 40 ounce jug. One holds my sugar free everything free Lemonade, the other holds my “Bubble” water …. I put water in a SodaStream bottle, put in fridge to get cold- then bubble it. I add Crystal Light Strawberry Pineapple flavor drops- all 0 carbs/sugar etc. Before I go on- the water from our tap is absolutely horrible. (It smells like Chlorine from a pool- VERY strong odor, and tastes disgusting) I put that water in my Brita Hub, then filter it to the SS bottles, then to the fridge. The difference in taste is UNBELIEVABLE. We can’t smell any chemicals whatsoever. That is a huge deal for me. I have many health issues- Cancer being one of them. I would choke and get sick drinking tap water. Even adding flavor drops didn’t hide that smell. I was severely dehydrated, and my blood tests were off the charts (severe low potassium and magnesium from vomiting/diarrhea). My hair is growing back and it’s healthy. My skin doesn’t feel like sandpaper, and my nails are getting back to normal.The nausea I had every day- I only get every so often, mostly medication induced. I drink 3-4 of my 64 ounce jugs a day, and 2-3 of my 40 ounce jugs a day. That’s around 300-400 OUNCES of water per day. (No I have not had water poisoning yet- I know when to back off lol) I write all this because I want you to know that this Brita Hub gets used a lot, every day…by myself and by my husband. It gets a lot of use. Do I replace the filter more often than every 6 months? Absolutely, between 3-4 months. I don’t care- this works so well for us, I’m happy to replace the filter more often. Has any part of my machine leaked or broke? It hasn’t leaked one little bit, and nothing has broke. Is the machine loud? Really? Turning my water on to fill this is louder! I can’t believe anyone would complain about noise. My only “issue” is I wish the water container was bigger. As much as we drink- it would be nice to be able to filter more water and not have to fill the container so many times. If Brita came out with a Hub that has a larger water container- I would buy it in a minute. Friends that come over bring their own water jugs and fill them with our Brita water- so that has to say something for the water this filter system puts out. We LOVE our Brita Hub. Period.

Brita Hub is exactly what its name says “Powerful countertop filtration” and not to forget Instant. We have been using other Brita filters with Brita pitchers and water dispensers for last several years but Brita Hub is a game changer. It looks amazing and takes very little space and works right at the touch of your finger! Water tastes good and easy to pour and easy to refill. We love it, our kids love it and our guests always keeps asking about it and how cool it looks. Perfect fit for our kitchen countertop! Easy to clean water reservoir and seems low maintenance so far. It does make little noise when filtering water but not a big deal especially given that it filters water instantly without any wait. The buttons are extremely easy to use and makes it much easier to fill cups and bottles instantly. Great purchase!
