I am enjoying my backyard again! I bought two sets of these and realized I should have gotten three. I bought two sets because I thought I needed two for my patio overhang, but I only needed one and put the second one on one of my two palm trees and they lit up the backyard so nicely that I ordered a third set for the other palm tree. Instead of a dark backyard that my porch ceiling fan lights don't light up very well, I have a lovely backyard that is enjoyable. I played fetch with the dog in the dark and I was able to see everything in the yard from the light from these bulbs strung on my palm trees. Best solar lights I have ever bought. 7 weeks later and one strand has completely gone haywire. Turns on them turns off again. Either won’t charge or there’s a short. Can’t get a blue light on the panel so they are going back. Will wait for a sale to buy replacement because the yard isnt balanced now with one palm tree not lit up. ... show more

I appreciated that the product arrived with zip ties, a clamp to hold the solar panel, and wire-holding nails to make the installation super simple. I didn't have to buy anything to use the lights. My ONLY complaint is the strand of lights is actually shorter (light bulb wise) than what it says. It worked out for me, but just be aware that the light bulbs do not actually extend the full length. Other than that, they are the perfect amount of lighting for my patio!

I looked for just the right strand lights for a while - not too far apart, unbreakable plastic bulbs, and a dim setting. We just put these up and they're great so far. For everyone who was annoyed that they don't turn on til it's pitch black out, just cover up the solar panel or set it face down on the ground and they turn on. The remote still works and it seems you don't have to aim it anywhere particular. I removed a star because one of the bulbs was missing from the string so I've already used a spare, and because I was disappointed that you can't use them while the solar panel is plugged in and charging, or I haven't found a way yet.
