When I bought the kayak, I also bought a set of cross bars from Bass Pro. When I tried installing them, I realized that they didn’t fit the factory side bars on my Jeep Cherokee. Disappointed, I returned them to the store and had to find something else. Various bike shops were no help, as well as Jeep Dealerships. Nobody had racks in stock. Annoyed, I turned to Amazon, since everyone else had a mod Nov time frame. I wasn’t about to wait until then to get on the water. I found these cross bars for a reasonable price and they had been rated very well by other customers. Thule and Yakima were brands i had on my list, but the expense was not what I wanted to pay for this. When they arrived, I was impressed with the quality and the rubber inside around the clamps was a nice surprise, so they won’t scratch up my side rails. I installed these with just the given Allen wrench in about ten minutes!! I’m super impressed that it was that quick to install them by myself. They are sturdy and fit well on the Jeep. Happy customer! Skip Yakima and Thule. These are really nice!

These brightlines cross bars are perfect on my Cherokee. They are very easy to install and look very factory in my opinion. They are very versatile and so far have worked with all my attachments. They have an excellent fit. (When you actually put them on correctly). There is a review on here with a gentleman who was having issues with the fitment and was having difficulty with the install. But after I reviewed his pictures that he posted, I noticed he had his bars turned backwards 🤦🏻♂️. Don’t be that guy. I’m very happy with the lack of wind noise as well. The bars shape resemble an airplane wing and they are absolutely silent. Even on the parkway at 80mph. At the price there isn’t any other alternatives that can even compete. Thules can cost over $200 and the Mopar factory rails are also around that price.

For the price these work great no need to spend 250+ on OEM. Make sure to install correctly, some of these reviews people have the bars backwards. Thick part of bar should face forward with tapered edge facing back. I don’t notice any wind noise with these until about 85-90 mph, only reduces mpg slightly 1-2 mpg. Works great for my longboard, took about 30mins to install, probably less but I’m a perfectionist. Go for these!!!

Very easy install, product was fairly well made (but I could bitch lightly about mold/casting lines left on products). Seems strong enough to support small boats, lumber to some degree, cargo containers/rooftop bags. Lateral adjustment hardware is beneath the right mount end and adjusting the bars to the desired location/length for best fit is slightly more difficult if those location/length adjustments are made beforehand. All that to say it's a small PITA to tighten the lateral adjustment Allen bolts after the units are mounted. Looks great, I'm pleased with the overall quality and price at this point. Good value product for what seems like intermediate weight use.

I originally bought "universal" bars from Summit Racing, which didn't fit, nor did any other bar they carry there that we tried before leaving with for a second time! I took a gamble and bought these in a pinch, praying they fit for our vacation. The bars were delivered in two days! I put them on easily in five minutes, and my cargo box fits nicely on top. These bars actually look a lot nicer than all the others I tried to fit on my car, and were cheaper! They are sturdy and holding up well. Make a little noise, but that's to be expected when driving in the highway. Definitely recommend purchasing these for your jeep!

I always see Thule stuff on the road and wanted to buy one of their crossbar sets as I tend to love brand name stuff and also have expensive taste. But at $200 for the set and another $200 for the feet, I wanted to spend a lot of time researching them first. I could not find anything about them that justified those prices. So, i started looking at other brands and had decided on Brightlines. The Brightlines fit my Cherokee perfect. They are aerodynamic just like the thules, just as quiet, and easily install. They also come with the attached feet to mount them, not an extra $200 charge. The weight rating for these are only 15 pounds less than Thule if I remember correctly, even though these are made out of a different material. Today, I mounted a kayak holder, put on the kayak, and drove around. Even at highway speeds, there were no issues. The only problem I had was during installation; it’s recommended to torque the screws to 30-40 inch pounds. My torque wrench only does foot pounds. So I bought a new torque wrench. Most people wouldn’t care and would just hand tighten the screws. If you’re in the market for crossbars, don’t waste your money on the other brands. Buy these.

I'm someone who won't buy something without looking at reviews first, but this is actually one of my first Amazon reviews! I was looking for some crossbars for my 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for an upcoming trip to the Black Hills. With two dogs space can be limited so I purchased these as well as the JEGS 90098 rooftop cargo carrier. I wasn't wanting to break the bank so I looked at quite a few reviews before purchasing either items. These crossbars installed pretty easy, they are labeled front and back, and feel pretty sturdy. I've been driving around with them on for a few weeks now and forget they're even up there. I have yet to attack the cargo carrier, our trip to the hills is the thend of July and I plan to update afterwards to see how they both do. They both seem like quality items! I recommend!

Quick and easy installation. The contour fit of the pieces and overall color (matte black) makes them look factory installed. No additional wind noise when panoramic sunroof is open!! Solid and secure installation for mounting carrier to. Definitely recommend this product!
