Love these so much I bought 3 total, so far. They are just about the nicest looking and best lamps I've used, very stylish, and I absolutely love the daylight color temperature and the ability to change color temps. A long time ago, I bought the original version that didn't have the color temperature adjustment, and my one wish was that I could adjust it between daylight and soft white color temperature. Then they released this model which lets you do just that, and I finally bit the bullet and bought one to see if it was any good. It's actually an improvement on the original version in every way: it looks nicer (the original already looked great), it's brighter, it's lighter, and it has the awesome color temperature control. I love the daylight color temp so much I just leave it on that, but still. I was so impressed by the new model that I immediately bought two more. I think I'm going to seriously replace all the floor lamps in my home with these. I will say that the controls could be a little simpler, specifically they would benefit from a second button, but you get used to it, and when it comes on it goes right back to where you had it anyway.     • Lasted 5 Years, Still Works, But Dimmer

I purchased on Jun 11, 2018 for $45. It's April 28, 2023 and it still technically works, but the lamp no longer dims, and the LEDs flicker ever so slightly. The light still transitions between warm, cool, and cooler, but brightness altogether is about half what it used to be. I wish the LEDs were easily replaceable, but it is not. At $45 after 5 years, it's about $9 per year for my purchase, but I read that some other people had less mileage from this lamp. Would I recommend the lamp? Yes.     • A very good lamp for the price

I've got four Brightech floor lamps that all look pretty much the same but have different types of switches (continuous dimmer vs. three-step dimmer vs. on/off) and finishes (black, silver, white). I use all but one of them daily, and they've collectively been great, which is why I keep buying them. (Well, that and the fact that my apartment has lousy lighting.) This one, though, which is arguably the fanciest, was acting out for a couple of weeks—not always turning on when I tapped the switch, and sometimes going into what I call Tantrum Mode, where it'd be just barely lit for hours and then might pop up to full brightness when I was nowhere near it. Whee! I had begun bracing myself for having to beg for support, as of course it's almost a year out of warranty. So I want to point out: If this happens to you, follow the troubleshooting steps on Brightech's website! These are: “1. Try plugging your lamp into another outlet. When doing so, tap the power button just once and wait a few minutes, the LED capacitor may need time to warm up. 2. If you have another lamp from Brightech with the same adapter, try using that adapter with the non-working lamp to see if that helps. 3. Try disassembling and reassembling it.” I'd already tried steps 1 and 2 (if #2 fixes it, note that you can find third-party adapters on Amazon for about $10; this one worked for my oldest lamp: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W63LWW6), but I hadn't thought of number 3, and that's what did the trick. It's back! It's happy! It's like a whole new lamp! Is it a design flaw that the connections inside the lamp can get out of whack while it's doing nothing but just standing there? Maybe, but I wish everything in my apartment were so easy to fix. I'd still recommend the Sky family of lamps to a friend, and if one of my four finally goes kaput, I'll probably replace it with another one of the same. ... show more

    • LED Bulb went out

Overall this Brightech Sky Flux Dimmable LED Floor Lamp worked very well. There were 3 Cons and they are important. 1. The LED bulb went out having used less than half of its stated lifetime usage hours based on 3 hours per day for 20 years (21,900 hours). 2. There was no way to put in a new LED bulb as far as I could tell. I'm pretty handy so this was very frustrating. 3. There is a very short cord attached to the base that plugs into the rest of the cord coming out of the pole. The cord coming out of the pole worked well for me. The problem was when I would move the lamp for cleaning or adjusting where I wanted the lamp, the cord ends came apart very easily. 4. While the base is fairly heavy for its size, the pole itself can loosen from the base and the other joints, making the lamp wobbly. 5. It is a little too short a floor lamp for me. Given how expensive floor lamps are, especially for ones that give really good lighting and adjustments, the price when I got it was very good. ($35.00?). The price now is high for what you're getting. But, then again, prices of pretty much everything has skyrocketed since that time. Pros: 1. It is very easy to use. All that is required to change the lighting ambience, (daylight, warm, cool) is a ligh finger touch on the pole. To change the brightness, just keep a finger on the pole until the brightness is what you want. When the highest brightest setting is reached, if you want to reset it, you need to retap/hold the pole to start over. We're only talking a few seconds and a very light touch so that's not a problem. 2. The pole comes in pieces that are easily screwed together. No biggie. 3. Because the pole is so skinny and the base relatively small in circumference it can fit in tight spaces yet give off a substantial amount of light. That was a great surprise. The space I used it in is L shaped about 20' x 13' and 9' x 9'. 4. Also because of its minimal footprint and skinniness, it is not a standout in your decor, design or Prairie melts into the decor a little bit If you have something fr 4. The lamp's angle it self can be adjusted a little bit. All in all it worked well for the 4 years I used it. I wish it was a little bit taller and the bulb was replaceable. If there were instructions on how to change the bulb, I definitely would have. If you don't mind spending $70 for it, Enjoy! ... show more
