I did find one of those after an extensive search for $408. I found this light and I can't express how great it is! Easy assembly {5 min), great quality with sturdy base, flexible top section to move anywhere I need it, auto dimming at an easy touch, and the on/off switch is right on the light head hang next to me so I don't even have to move!!! Mom is 94 and the lamp lights up her sewing area fully. She needed it to illuminate a specific space. The fit is perfect and it tucks behind the table, so it’s very sturdy. Very stable. She is able to turn on and off with out reaching.

    • Easy and good looking floor lamp

Easy to put together with no tools necessary. It's almost completely intuitive but the instructions are simple and clear so use them I'd say. Worked for me. I tossed out an LED floor lamp (not by Brightech) that was weighted badly and was always leaning over. This spot has to have a floor lamp -- no room for anything else and I read etc. there. I love the solid weight of the base. It doesn't wobble. It doesn't lean. It doesn't need a remote (and doesn't come with one.) Super easy to turn on, off, and adjust the brightness. Comes with one simple well written front/back instruction sheet. I have no idea how long the expected lifespan of this lamp but I hope it lasts a long time because I just love it. OH, and you have a choice of colors for the base and head. All that and I think the price is right -- right around $50. Love it. ... show more

I bought this light for my husband to use at the desk in our sitting room off our bedroom. He gets up before me and goes to work on the computer early. Turning on the room light would awaken me. However, although this light is very bright, it only lights up his work area without lighting up the entire room. This is a great reading lamp because it is brighter than the light in our bedroom. I would have bought a second lamp for the reading chair in our living room but it’s not formal enough for our space. Also it is bulky so not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. However from a functionality standpoint, it is great! My husband said it was very easy to put the lamp together as well. ... show more
