I have a 10-yr-old snowblower with a 2011 version of the Polar Force 1150, so I can tell you if this will hold up. Short answer: no. After 30-40 hours of residential use, the governor on my engine failed, leading to racing and damage to the valves and connecting rod. The whole engine had to be replaced. It cost almost as much as a new snowblower. I contacted Briggs and Stratton to see if they would help. Their answer? "We are so sorry for your frustration, but you are past the warranty period." I understand that it's past warranty, but total destruction of the engine after 30-40 hours of service seems a bit extreme. Do not buy this product. Briggs and Stratton will not stand behind it in the long term. Their snowblower engines are now made overseas and are not made to last. I included a picture of the junked engine, which I will keep around for spare parts. I don't trust the replacement engine to last, either. ... show more
