This fan has a remote that allows you to turn on and off the light and turn up and down the LED (5 levels). Not only that you can turn the LED different tones of light. You can go from bright white or yellow as well which can help deter bugs that are attracted to light because it's less visible to many insects. You also have the ability to turn up or down the fan by 5 levels which covers a decent area if you have a smaller space (you can feel it from about 3 feet away if you don't want to be directly beneath the fan), but don't expect it to cool down a larger room. Speaking of cooling, you can also reverse the fan in the cooler months. By the way, no worries about the fan being loud, the optional beeps from the remote inputs are louder than the fan. So yeah, this is a great little fan which works well for my office, but... I have to say that they should give us a manual pull for the light an fan for a default setting. If you don't have the remote, and all you have is your light switch, then expect for the light to be the only thing that comes on until you find the remote. I think that should be updated, but on that note, I recommend just sitting the remote in the wall mountable cradle and leaving it there so that you don't have that issue. Solid fan, but it gets 4 out of 5 stars based on the lack of that one traditional feature. Tip: If the remote is ignoring your commands or it's only acknowledging some commands, just swap out the 2 X AAA batteries. ... show more

Decent fan, I see people saying powerful but I don’t seem to see it or feel it as much. I will say it is nice looking the remote is a nice touch. Great lighting. Installation was easy. Pretty small in size. Just don’t expect a big gust of air spreading around the room.
