We have had several toasters over the years. I have never been satisfied with any of them. They toasted unevenly and dried out the bread or bagel. This toaster delivers perfectly toasted bread and bagels -- evenly and predictably toasted based on the easy-to-adjust settings, and not dried out and tough like cedar shingles. Yes, this is a pricey toaster, but we use it more often because the toast and toasted bagels are so much more tasty and satisfying. Therefore, it's a much better value for us. Highly recommended!

Nice looking toaster. It toasts every kind of bread, bagels and frozen waffles evenly. I like the light on the front that counts up to let you know how close your toast is to being done. I bought it in the black color and the finish is not shiny but matte and looks really nice. The cord is just the right length not too long just the right length. Well thought out toaster with great features. Wife loves it too.

This is a really fun and amazing toaster. I love the features it has and it is a really good looking toaster. And the Toast comes out perfect once you find the setting you like. And it toasts the whole bread - including the edges of the bread. So many toasters do not do that. And the toast tastes wonderful. I like the fact that you can lift the handle and check your toasting. I also like the Little Bit More button. If your toast or whatever you are toasting is not done enough you can hit that button for it to toast a bit more without starting all over. I also llike the various items that you can set your toaster for like Bagels, Waffles, Wheat Bread, White Bread, ect. That is a very interesting feature. While this toaster is expensive I luckily got a great deal from Amazon Warehouse and so I was able to buy the Breville and enjoy an amazing toaster.

The past few years I've been going thru 30-40$ toasters that felt and looked cheap, made poor uneven toast, and invariably failed even though they were only used twice a day at most. I really didn't want to spend 150 dollars on a toaster, but I had some reward points that brought it down to 100, and pulled the trigger. I gotta say i am extremely happy with it so far. Not only is the toast very even, but it also doesn't dry out as much as cheaper toasters, which is very important if you like darker toast. It's a little bit bigger than I thought, but looks very good on the counter. I love the dial, the features, being able to switch between what type of bread I'm toasting without tinkering with the dial or feeling I need to watch it. The top does get hot, but like it's a toaster, you need heat to toast. Just keep your grubby little fingers away from the hot metal and you'll be fine. The high lift has never made me feel like I needed to stick my fingers anywhere near where I would get burned. The only cons are for 150 dollars I would like a longer warranty, zwilling toasters for ~100 bucks have a 5 year warranty, this thing only has a 1 year warranty. I'm just suspect of the longevity of products made in china these days, but it's very hard to find a toaster from anywhere else. I'm honestly a bit disappointed that a "premium" appliance maker like Breville doesn't stand behind the quality of their products. The way I see it this 150$ toaster is a 1 star toaster if it only lasts 1 year, and a 5 star toaster if it lasts 5. Hell I just wish they made toasters like they used to that would last 25 years. But then I guess you run out of people to sell toasters to.

It’s perfect!!! I wanted all of the features this one has (exactly…no more/no less) without it being a giant/eyesore “smart” toaster. I ordered this used-very good condition to make it affordable for me, and they sent it looking brand new, packaged as though it were new, in its original box - zero tears or dents, and placed in another plain box. Honestly, I was so pleased. Took it out and used immediately. Seriously….it even smells new because it has that burning plastic smell of new appliances when first used. I know that will go away with more use, but honestly Amazon, thank you for blessing me with such a great used toaster. Really am thankful. And the bagel trial - went flawlessly. Worked perfectly. It is a tad slower than my last (basic) toaster, but man, did a completely professional job of toasting. Zero complaints.

What a splurge! Amazon had it at half off, otherwise I don’t know if I’d have paid full price. It is beautiful in design and function. As an appliance that sits out in the open, I appreciate the sleek lines. I really enjoy the lighted countdown to let you know how long until toasting is complete. The toast comes out perfect with a little playing around with the settings. Very pleased with the value for the price I paid.
