  • Itza pizza! ***Updated 6/1/2025 Itza pizza! ***Updated 6/1/2025
Color: Black Truffle Size: One Size
Wow! This is a home run! Have been cranking out pizzas on the wood fired setting and they have all been outstanding. Also did a New York style and a deep dish pizza. Home made dough is easy and so much better than store bought, especially if you follow the Breville dough recipes. They really did a great job on this oven - this is so easy and intuitive to use, even when trying the manual settings. A couple of minor misses with it: 1) the peel provide sucks. I was never able to get a clean successful launch using it. I ended up buying a GI Metal that is perfect size for this oven and launches pizzas flawlessly. I think Ooni has one similar to it. Take a look at the available options out there that may suit your needs and just plan on a different peel. 2) I followed the instructions to season the deep dish pizza pan that came along with it and had no issues with it. However it rusted something fierce after first use, and have not really been able to get it back to new condition since then. I should have re-seasoned it after I cleaned it but thought it was still sufficiently seasoned. Just plan on seasoning it again after every use. Despite those two concerns, this does such a great job and has so much potential, those are not showstoppers. I like pizza and really enjoy what I am creating in my home better than the national chain or local pizza joints. I think you’ll be happy! ***Update 6/1/2025 I’ve made over 60 pies overt the past year and just wanted to give a quick follow up to the above: 1) I have to double down on the pizza pill they provided, absolutely useless. Yeah, find another one, I recommend a perforated one like the ones I already mentioned. 2) The issue with pan seasoning has been solved. I cleaned it up real well and seasoned the inside of it 4 times using twice the amount of oil called for in the instructions. I made a couple of pan pizzas and seasoned them a couple of times again after each use and there is no rust at all. You just gotta keep seasoning it. This is such a great dining/entertainment appliance - it’s really fun! I have friends over, I prep all the dough and fixins ahead of time, they all take turns making their own pizzas and we just head to the man cave to eat pizza, drink beer and watch movies or tal’ or whatever. I compare that to going to other friends that have a wood fired oven in their back yard, they have to get the fire going, heat it up, keep it going make the pizzas and some go inside some stay outside, but someone stays minding the oven til they tamps the fire down. They don’t have a covered area so they only do it during nice weather and. It when it’s cold. The Breville Pizzaiolo has NONE of the disadvantages of their backyard wood oven. We had pizzas throughout the year, all done in my kitchen, even during a snowstorm, rainstorms, hot weather, cold weather…all those conditions do not affect making pizzas with this oven - and I’m free to spend time with my friends and guests since my t8me is not taken up minding a fire. This is SO EASY! ... show more

  • So well engineered!
Color: Black Truffle Size: One Size
I'm generally impressed by Breville products, and this is no exception. Overally, I'm blown away by the insulation here: at the highest temp (750F), the outside of the unit is barely warm. 750F seems, in my experience, to be adequate for Neapolitan pizza indoors. (If I want wood fired, I think that I'll have to go outside for that. But the variance is small.) Oh, and it's remarkably well insulated! I'm amazed, hence the "well engineered" title. I could do indoors what I previously might have done outdoors (although outdoors I can perhaps get some smoke flavor and more than 12" pizzas. But for me, this is for Neapolitan; otherwise I'd just do it on a pizza steel in my oven.) ... show more

  • Great oven with a very odd and small size Great oven with a very odd and small size
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel Size: One Size
This product has terrific insulation and there is a tonne you can do with a 750F oven with some creativity. You have to be careful not to burn things and modify recipes. The size limitation is pretty serious. I had to buy a few new tiny pans that fit, at barely 12 inches. The curved edge inside makes square pizzas impossible to accommodate - unless its 10inch or less each side with no room for error. It doesn't fit a quarter baking sheet for example. A 2 inch tall pan like shallow lasagna pie barely fits, but again no room for error. The door opening mechanism kills about 1 inch of interior vertical space that would have made this oven more versatile. Overall, I love the temperature range and the insulation. I have used the manual mode more than the pizza settings. I have cooked fish, potatoes, bagels, pizza, baguettes, cauliflower, baked beans, cookies, naan in it with great results. You have to cut the cooking time by at least 30% and be conservative with the top temperature. My kitchen is cool after cooking many dishes and I can cook a lot faster. Minute changes like removing circular edge and even 0.2 inches additional height would make this oven a tonne more versatile for different shaped bakeware. I hope there are good reasons for these design choices. ... show more

  • Perfect for homemade pizza enthusiasts
Bought this after reaching the limits of what can be done in a conventional oven. The price is a little high, but I've had good success with Breville appliances in the past and decided it was worth the gamble. What a pleasure to have something work exactly as advertised! The high heat produces restaurant-quality pizzas that simply can't be achieved at the regular 550F, all in under 2 minutes. Don't get discouraged if your first few don't work out. It is necessary to use more flour than expected and work really quickly if you have a high-quality, well hydrated dough to avoid stickiness. It took about 3-5 attempts to get this right, and now we couldn't be happier! Beautiful leopard spots and a crisp base is super easy to achieve. You can also par-bake your own bases (about 1 minute is enough) and freeze them for comparable results if you want to make ahead. Only down side is it would be helpful to have an oven light, the door can be a little sensitive and close on you if you're not careful, and it is a little difficult to clean as some have noted. The lack of a light can be overcome with a flashlight though! :) ... show more

  • Easy to use
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel Size: One Size
Although it takes a while to come to temperature, it is very easy to use and the pizza is excellent. I wish it were a little easier to clean because it does tend to smoke if not cleaned well

  • THE FIRST GREAT HOME PIZZA OVEN!
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel Size: One Size
I've had this oven for about a month. I make my own dough and sauce and grow my own basil. While it took some trial and error, I have perfected making a thin, crispy crust, margarita pizza. Perfect, leopard-spot crust. Pizza like I used to get in the NYC pizzerias during my childhood. Pizza that doesn't exist anywhere near where I live. Breville designed it to be, "Smart" in that it has different settings that automatically give the desired results. As you turn the dial clockwise there are settings for, "New York", "Pan", "Thin and Crispy", "Wood Fired" and others. I thought that as I turned the dial each setting was just hotter than the previous one. That is not the case. The settings are proprietary and they do not explain exactly how they affect the pizzas. But they adjust the temperatures of the deck and overhead elements very precisely. And each setting does affect the results accurately. There is also a dial to make it darker or lighter while using the different auto settings. Three is a manual control function. You place the magnetic plate over the controls, press and hold the timer button, and the oven temperatures can be adjusted manually. Not just upper and lower but the inner and outer elements. That means that if you want a slightly darker bottom but cooler inner top you can do that. This means that the different possibilities are endless. I am happy with the results I have come upon through trials making a very thin pizza with the ,"Wood Fired" setting for two minutes. So I haven't even tried the manual function. But I look forward to experimenting with it soon. I think the results will be very precise. My only minor complaint is with the metal peel that they include. My first pie stuck to it upon launching. So I bought a $5 plywood one and it's way better. If you get the oven make sure you get a wooden peel that is 11" max. Anything wider won't fit. And get a 7" peel to use when rotating the pie half way through the bake. It doesn't matter if it's metal. There are many home pizza ovens on the market. Some are outdoor wood-fired, some gas, some electric like this one. I think this is the first one to really work consistently well and make the perfect pizza. And it's small and convenient and doesn't smoke or heat up the whole kitchen. I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Restaurant quality at home
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel Size: One Size
I moved from a big city to a small town several years ago, and what I missed most was restaurant quality pizza. True artisan pizza. Well this gives you the that same flavor. The caramelization of crust, leopard spotting, whatever you desire this oven will produce. I have used it 5-6 days a week since I received it. There is a learning curve with anything capable of this extreme heat. Surprisingly it hasn't harmed my counters, and the cabinets above don't get too hot. So far I have only identified 2 cons. The first is the stone, which is the weak link. Replacement stones are never in stock, and seemingly only available thru warranty requests. My stone has already chipped, and I can tell it will not last as long as the rest of the appliance. However, there are several companies who make appropriate sized steels, and I will go that route eventually. The second is the oven is on the small size for pizza. It's tight to maneuver and clean. But neither of those things would make me regret my decision. ... show more

  • I had no idea that my life was incomplete. I had no idea that my life was incomplete.
Color: Brushed Stainless Steel Size: One Size
How did I ever live without a pizza oven? This thing is awesome. Accurate, consistent temperature control. Good window with a view to keep an eye on the pizza in few minutes it takes to cook. Nice metal tray with a handle to slide the pizza in, and to get it out. (Make sure you put a lot of flour on that thing, so that the pizza actually slides!) And the pizzas! To die for. It's like straight out of a wood-fired brick oven in Naples. My only complaint is that it is hard to get in there for cleaning. I would have liked it better if it opened up more, maybe with a big lid on the top somehow, to be able reach all the innards. Though that would have compromised the heat insulation, which is key for the consistent temperature across the inside of the oven. Maybe that was a good engineering trade, but it's difficult to clean. I suppose I could just live with some carbonized food remants in there, since it doesn't really affect the function. Yes, this thing is pricey. But for me, if it lasts for ten years or more, and I can't see why it wouldn't, it was totally worth it. It will go on sale for $800 from time to time, so I put it on camelcamelcamel, waited for the deal, and got it for $799.95. ... show more
