Scent: Gently Scented
Size: 40 lb
Best clumping litter around. PROS - Leaves less dust than other brands - Absorbs the smells well - Great absorbency / clumping CONS - I can't smell the "gently scented" but honestly I don't really care. - If you buy the 40lbs make sure you can lift it. And you lift safely. Definitely my go-to.

My only complaint is how expensive this brand cat litter is - its about double the rest of the litters I regularly purchase. My cats and I just want a scent free, low dust, scoopable clay litter - I thought that would be simple but apparently not. We have used tidycats litter for more than 10 years but when I took over the chore of the cat boxes, I wasn't very happy with the clumping and since the pandemic, the pet stores no longer have litter for about 50% off on black friday for us to be able to stock up affordably. I always wanted to try BoxieCat because it looked well made and clean but I couldn't afford it at normal prices. I found it for more than 50% off at the neighborhood discount food store one day and thought I had nothing to lose, I am so glad I did and I wish I had bought all they had! I have tried most all the major brands and my cats & I were not impressed until I put BoxieCat in one of their boxes. The consistency is great - consistent, not fine like sand, not dusty, not too big like gravel, clumps well - pretty much everything I want from a litter. I have experimented with moving the types of litter around to different boxes to find out for sure if my cats like the specific box or the litter and it was 100% the litter! In fact, since getting BoxieCat, they have refused to use another couple brands no matter what box I put it in. I just wish it didn't cost so much! I just keep my eyes out for a sale/deal and only purchase it then.

This stuff is AMAZING. My mom has used it for years and always raved about it, but I never tried it myself because it's a bit more expensive than other brands. But after YEARS of struggling with litters that smelled, didn't clump well, were dusty, and needed to be completely replaced after only a couple of days, I just went for it. I love this stuff, and I'm never going back. The previous litter we were using (some brand from Costco, can't remember which one) would clump well at first, but then would start to get all wet and reek after only a couple of days. The more often you scooped it, the worse it got, because you were just spreading that wet little around. Every time the garage door was opened, the whole house stank like the litter box from the smell. The boxie cat has no dust, it clumps beautifully, it stays dry even with daily scooping, and it traps the smell crazy well. Even though it's more expensive than a lot of other litters, I'm finding i can go a lot linger before having to dump and refill the box, so it's ending up pretty much the same cost as the other stuff that needs to be replaced more often. I definitely recommend at least trying the small size to see if you like if you're uncertain about commiting to the price, it's soooo worth it

This premium scent free litter is almost as good as the probiotic version, but not quite. The product performed very well and is dust free. However the white and blue product packaging was slit and taped together then put in a box. The clear tape did not cover the entire slit, so there was loose litter in the cardboard box when I opened the box. I hate to pay over $40 for litter and not have the full amount of litter. I needed the litter so returning it was not an option. I asked for a partial refund but never got a response. I'm disappointed at the service and packaging.

Boxiecat Premium Clumping Clay Cat Litter, Extra Strength Formula, is the best cat litter I've found. It's expensive but I get a month per litter box (I have 2 cats, 2 litter boxes). It's great for clumping and easy to scoop out every night and just replace a little bit of litter back into the litter box. As long as you have enough cat litter in the litter box, the boxie cat litter doesn't stick to the sides or bottom (and if you're low on litter and it does stick, it's easy enough to scrape out and get it to form clumps with the clean litter). After a month, I empty the box, wipe it out and replace with new litter. With other cat litters, I've had to drag the box outside and wash it down with a hose. I still do that in warm weather for extra cleanness but in the winter, the litter box is pretty easy to clean with just a wipe down with an eco-friendly chemical free cleaner after you've emptied it completely. I've had my cats for 2 years and occasionally switched to a lower priced litter which I found did not work as well as the boxie cat litters do. I would buy again, do buy again and highly recommend this product. I can't ever seem to get it delivered from Petco, but it's always in stock at Amazon! I like amazon delivery for this product because it's heavy and I don't have to carry it from the store to the car and into my house. It just ends up on my doorstep from Amazon!

Updated: January 23, 2025 I loved Boxie and thought it was great, but over the last year or so, they've apparently changed their formula. Their litter used to be 99% dust-free but now it's more like 1%. My cat's litterbox room is layered with a thick amount of dust thanks to their new formula. I'm going to be switching litters (again) because it's just too much. Wish they would have stuck with their original formula. Original Review: I've used Fabreeze Fresh Step (multi-cat) litter for the last 8 years and last week I tried Boxiecat for the first time... WOW. My cats almost instantly fell in love with it and I have to say it clumps as well if not better than any other brand I've used. There's no odor or scent to the litter, and is actually dust-free as advertised (it's the most dust-free brand I've used as well). It does a good job of masking oders but some smells can still be smelled but it's not horrible. The bottom line, my cats love it, the 40lb bag lasts about 45 days with 2 cats (which is wonderful) and the price isn't bad. Highly recommend buying!

I've tried my fair share of cat litters over the years, but Boxiecat Premium Clumping Clay Cat Litter takes the cake! From the moment I switched to this litter, I noticed a remarkable difference in terms of odor control and cleanliness. First off, the clumping ability of this litter is on another level. It forms tight, solid clumps that make scooping a breeze. No more dealing with messy, crumbly clumps that fall apart before you can even get them out of the box. This means less wasted litter and more efficient clean-up. But what really sets Boxiecat apart is its exceptional odor control. I used to walk into my home and be greeted by that telltale cat litter smell, but with Boxiecat, it's like I have a magic shield against odors. Even my pickiest cat, who can be quite the little stinker, couldn't outmatch the odor-fighting power of this litter. I also appreciate that this litter is dust-free. It's a relief knowing that I'm not exposing my feline friend (or myself) to unnecessary dust particles. Plus, the low tracking formula means I'm not finding litter scattered all over my floors anymore. While some premium litters can come with a hefty price tag, I've found Boxiecat to be well worth the investment. The 16-pound box lasts a surprisingly long time due to its clumping efficiency. It's clear that the folks behind Boxiecat care about both cats and their owners, creating a product that delivers on its promises. In short, if you're on the hunt for a cat litter that truly lives up to its claims, look no further than Boxiecat Premium Clumping Clay Cat Litter. It's made a world of difference in my home, and I'm confident it will do the same for you and your furry companions!

WHY did they change the formula?! Boxiecat was a miracle for me! The smell of cat litter was haunting me for months... Was recommended to try Boxiecat Extra Strength and it was like the sky had opened up and I had finally found my saving grace! It held odors so well, it barely tracked, it lasted so long. Fast forward to two months ago, new bag arrives from Chewy, it has a new, yellow-y color, a finer granule, and I was noticing odors within 24 HOURS! I was immediately suspicious. Thought I was doing something wrong all of a sudden. Bought a new, expensive air purifier. Finally, I searched Reddit and found out it wasn't my imagination and everyone is noticing the difference! What a devastating change! Please, please change the formula back! I was willing to pay double the price because it was worth the cost. This new formula will send me to another brand. If you have noticed this change as well, please reach out to the company. We need to make our voices heard!
