I’ve had cats all my teen & adult life. Not sure how long this product has been around, but I definitely wish I found it sooner! It really does what it says! I’ve used countless different litter, from clay, to crystals, to the ones with the scents to cover up smell. They all have been horrible. I’ve used some big brand names as well & even super expensive litters. It’s all the same crap! Pee that piles at the bottom of the litter box, clumps that fall apart, nasty smell, etc. once I switched to this, everything changed. The pee doesn’t soak at the bottom. It clumps on top & doesn’t fall apart. It’s amazing! It covers smell really well. Of course no litter can cover smell 100% but I will say I haven’t complained at all of smell since switching to this. My cats took to it right away. I like that it’s safe for my cats and has probiotic in it. Doesn’t make a huge mess & makes cleaning a breeze. When I first read reviews I didn’t think it would be good, I thought people were lying. But holy crap, I definitely recommend this litter to everyone. I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes, so I buy the big bag. I love it and will be a customer for life. This review is my own personal opinion. Both of our previous fur babies died. For over 13 years, we used various brands and types of kitty litter. They all had one thing in common—they didn’t cover the pee odor and the big granules got everywhere. Although my husband’s nose appears to be impervious to the smell, mine isn’t. In addition, I refuse to have anyone step into our home and be greeted by the unmistakeable odor of a litter box. So, earlier this year, before we adopted Sam and Sofie I searched for litter that would largely address the odor issue. I found Boxie Cat. At first, I was very reluctant to pay so much for litter, but I was taken with the idea of no odor. Everything that they say about the litter is true. There is zero odor—even with two kittens! There is very little litter tracking but I think that what little there is happens to be because both of them have very long hair. Even with that, the small amount of litter that shake off, remains near the front of the box where they step out. It is also very easy to clean because of the clumping action.. Fortunately, we don't have the problem of anything sticking to the sides of the box. In addition, one bag of litter lasts for about 5-6 weeks, so it is more cost effective than I originally thought. I am completely satisfied with the litter and have it delivered with our monthly Amazon subscription. With that said, if you want to try it and not spend so much money, I’ve noticed that usually you can buy the first bag with a 40% discount when you sign up for a subscription. I did that. After that first bag, the rice seemed totally irrelevant. Besides, if you don't love it, you can simply cancel the subscription. Anyway, as I said, this is our litter for life.     • Good, expensive litter that I probably won't buy again

I thought I would give this litter a try since it has such high reviews. I was hoping for the elusive "perfect" cat litter that I am always searching for. First the good... This does clump very well. It is probably the easiest litter to scoop I have used (and I have used quite a few). There is no strange smell to the litter itself. There does seem to be less tracking than with Dr. Elsey's (which is what I usually use.). Then the not-great... This litter is definitely NOT dust-free (or even 99%). There was a noticeable cloud of dust that puffs up as I dumped the litter into the box. The individual grains are smaller and lighter-weight than typical litter and the cat seems to have it all pushed to the back of the litter box after only a few uses. The odor control was not as good as Dr. Elsey's, even with the activated carbon crystals added in. The price for a bag of litter is expensive. This is definitely a good, high quality litter. However, for the price I would stick with Dr. Elsey's every time. This doesn't seem to last any longer and the stronger clumping power and less tracking are not worth the extra cost to me. ... show more

So I’ve tried literally every litter you can imagine. No joke, all of them. So I have a litter robot and I would feel like when I enter the room, I could smell the litter box. Hard to describe …it wasn’t necessarily urine odor or poo odor…just a funky litter box smell. I have my computer desk in the same room and just cannot stand if I can even remotely smell that smell. So I saw this litter, had never heard of it but willing to try. Hands down THE BEST litter. When I walk into the room or sit at my desk, I smell nothing at all. It clumps well. Previously I was clay litter as well but everytime the litter box would rotate and empty, I would have clumps that are stuck to the bottom and wouldn’t come off unless I used something to scrape it off. With this litter doesn’t happen at all. I also purchased a different self cleaning litter box and I’ll be writing a review for that as well. It’s great! Highly highly recommend this litter.
