It's a $140 detector. Great for the kids or myself as a beginner. Not a low end unit and not a high end machine. It is what it is... Put in a battery, power up and take it to the beach, park or back yard. Very light weight and easy to assemble. If it breaks in a year or 2 I would buy it again.

This metal detector is great...I was having trouble finding my lot markers on a wooded lot. After reading manual to make the proper settings I found what was impossible-the two metal corner markers I was looking for. Now I am going off to find some buried treasures.

Purchased for Christmas for my 11yr old son and he loves it...Actually I think his daddy loves it more! I asked a friend for recommendations on a good purchase and he recommended this one. We have been very satisfied with it and have taken it to the lake to explore FUN!
