We are a Subaru family and I can confidently say that these roof racks are sturdier than the OEM racks. They sit about an inch or two more proud than the Subaru branded racks, and they are made of a much thicker material. My only complaint is there is the bougerv logo that's on all sides of each rack. I haven't noticed any wind noise with the sunroof closed, there is a faint sound with the sunroof open. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't affect gas mileage either. I got these for my 2021 Subaru Forester. They were very easy to install and are super sturdy. I used them with my roof bike rack and they’ve held up great! It takes me less than 3 minutes to install or remove them now that I’ve gotten the hang of it.
