  • Pulse Width Modulated - PWM simplifies power supplies. It controls the output voltage and current precisely by not only removing the output current sensing loss, but also eliminating all secondary feedback circuitry. Efficiency. Increased reliability
  • Variable Low-Pass Filter - A low-pass filter is an electronic circuit that removes all the notes below the filter's frequency setting. You will use the Low-pass filter to primarily keep high notes out of your subwoofer(s)
  • High Level Inputs - Speaker level inputs are commonly referred to as high-level inputs. It will be used to connect the BASS10 to your factory radio or an aftermarket radio that does not have low-level (RCA) inputs

Big sound, small package! Big sound, small package!

This little thing really impressed me. I needed some stronger bottom end power in my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. I have a Kenwood DMX8709s installed with a pair of Kenwood 6x9s in the front, and they sound good, but they distort at higher (or even mid) volume with bass turned up even a little bit. That's where this sub comes in. I wired it under my driver's seat and while it did take a minute of time to adjust my EQs and crossovers to remove the bottom end load from my speakers and onto the sub, it does an amazing job. Sound is crisp and tight even when turned way up past normal listening volume. In terms of the type of audio quality, I would describe this sub as tight and punchy. It doesn't hit the extremwly low frequencies that you might get from a proper ported sub enclusore (20hz or so), but it does much better than full range speakers. It seems to respond down to about 25hz, but it gains quite a but more response above 30hz. If you're listening to hip hop and expect street rattling bass at nearly inaudible low freqiencies, this isn't the sub for you. If you want premium audio system sound *inside* the car that you can feel and that suits virtually every other genre of music very well (seriously, everything from jazz to metal to chill beats sound amazing) and you don't want to sacrifice cargo space, this is where it's at. You will need to spend some time tuning EQs and crossovers, but it can be made to sound awesome. I can't believe it's this small and this cheap. I haven't attached the included brackets because it sits comfortably nestled when wedged between the seat anchors which allows me to slide it out of I want to make adjustments and it doesn't move when the vehicle is in motion. I picked up a boss 8 Guage wiring kit and it worked perfectly for my application. Great work Boss! Super happy with my purchase. Any thoughts I had about potentially returning it before I installed it are entirely gone. ... show more

Great for what it is!
Size: 10 inch Speaker XS Color: No Wiring Kit
If you are looking for trunk rattling bass, this is not for you. But, if you are looking for a compact powered sub that will add some great low end to your ride, this is it! I got one for my son for Christmas and it worked so well I bought one for my car a month later. It won't rattle your trunk, but it will definitely annoy the neighbors if you turn it up. The bass is clear and crisp. Great value for the money! ... show more

Great option for a budget setup
Size: 8 inch Speaker XS Color: No Wiring Kit
Good option to add to a budget or stock car audio setup. Won't impress anyone but it fills in that missing thump and low end. Do note that this doesn't come with any of the required wiring, so make sure to pick up a wiring kit (I got some cheapo kit here on amazon for like $12, just make sure its at least 10 gauge) and I wired directly into the rear speaker wire. Out of the box it's set to a base non-tuned setting so won't sound good at all - you NEED to tune and adjust the settings on both the sub and your head unit. Read the manual, it explains how to set the gain. I think I ended up somewhere with the gain set to 3/4, bass boost almost near max, and the high pass filter a half or turn up from middle (this is important if you're regular speakers don't produce a lot of bass). I also turned down my head units "bass boost" setting from +3 to +1 as the regular speakers don't need to try and fill in bass anymore and let them shine more in their minds and highs. ... show more

plenty of thump for the price
Size: 10 inch Speaker XS Color: No Wiring Kit
Needed to fill out the bottom end because my infinity reference speakers were pretty bright and the whole thing sounded a little tinny no matter how I set the eq. This fit easily under the passenger front seat and will give me all the bass I need (and plenty more if I wanted). Installation is not hard but Note you need to run 8 awg wire all the way to the battery and a fuse (not included). ... show more

Meets expectations!
Size: 10 inch Speaker XS Color: No Wiring Kit
Does a good job! This is perfect way to cheaply add bass in a small space. I installed this in my pontoon boat under the seat, and I'm thrilled with the results.

Fits in an escape
Size: 10 inch Speaker XS Color: No Wiring Kit
Sounds great. Definitely gives that extra bump. Fits nicely under the back seat of my 16 escape. Not enough space to put the seat down so I just put it under the smaller half. Tuned right it's loud bun not obnoxious

*NOT A ONE STAR REVIEW - README
Size: 8 inch Speaker XS Color: No Wiring Kit
I'm posting this as a one star review, so that people may not have the same experience I had. I hooked this up as instructed, in a 94 Geo Tracker with aftermarket Kenwood "media player" stereo and I could not tell it was working at all, very little thump. I jumped on the reviews and filtered to one star, and yup, many of the 1 star reviews were exactly the same as my problem, 6 X 9's in rear, no bass at all, can barely hear it over the 6x9's, etc. I was expecting WAY more out of it, as there were plenty of good reviews. Is it my cables? NO. hmm, I started adjusting the gain and other setting on the amp, (requires flat head screwdriver) and voila, I'm in business. Bass is definitely audible, and yes you can feel it, its not going to be earth shattering but it's definitely a huge difference and frankly quite good for the $.. in reality 5 stars, just check your settings and adjust, out of the box its not going to boom, but with some tinkering, YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY FEEL THIS THING. ... show more
