I ordered this to add some bass to my 2013 Mustang GT that has the base stereo. I already upgraded the factory speakers and added an amp, and that improved the sound quality. I installed this unit in the trunk since the amp is there so I have access to power, trigger wire, and the speaker inputs. It definitely sounds better with this unit. Sounded good for three months and just quit. Power light indicates its receiving power. Hooked up RCA cables to another unit and it worked fine. So if your willing to pay 45$ a month for this three month product, go for it. Sounds good when it works. What a waste of money though. Lesson learned, buy quality and avoid these issues. ... show more

Was easy to set up but just know that it does not come with any of the necessary wires other than the gain remote. Also I purchased for my 2001 Jeep TJ after reading reviews of how it would fit under the front passenger seat but the 8 inch option definitely did not. Ended up under the back seat though - that’s my fault for not measuring - all and all a good little subwoofer. ... show more

True to Boss Audio, the wattage claims on this are grossly exaggerated. 800 watts RMS, 1200 peak. Oh my! It’s got a 25 amp fuse folks! On a 12 volt system that’s about 300 watts max! I think a lot of consumers still buy these knowing Boss is full of it on claims but the gear is good enough for the cost. I wanted just a little thump for my pickup truck system. Space in my vehicle behind and under seats is scarce. This thing will not blow your long hair around as you lose permanent hearing, it will shake your rear view mirror however. Overall, after a little over a year, I’m happy with this purchase. There may be better alternatives. I wouldn’t know because I haven’t listened to any of those. But this FITS in my space. It’s easy to install. Overall, it’s plenty good enough. My wife and dad find it “annoying.” My kids love it. That’s probably the best review I can offer. ... show more

This is the perfect addition to my Kicker speakers. They sound great and with the addition of the little 8” subwoofer, the overall sound is perfect! I don’t require mirror rattling bass, just enough to feel and get pumped and this thing works perfectly for that. For those of you with a Jeep TJ, you know how hard it can be to find the right speakers, head unit and even sub (6” sub just isn’t enough from the armrest. This sub is what you’re looking for. I turned the lows down to keep the 5.25s from distorting and clipping and put it all on this sub and boom. Instant great sound! I like to drive with the top down and even with road noise…what road noise?!, it sounds great. I don’t care about the brand name. As a matter of fact Boss has been around for 15+ years. They are inexpensive and work perfectly for Jeep owners. I would hate for it to get stolen, but it also wouldn’t hurt the wallet. My Jeep was vandalized a few weeks back and they left my Boss touch screen. Yeah I’m thankful people people find this brand undesirable. This Gen X’er just doesn’t care. If you’ve read this far, get this sub for your small vehicle with no space. Works best under the seat. I don’t think this is made for the trunk as you would get more sound with direct sound placement. ... show more
